They read profiles of Dominants in their area or not in their area....who have in their journal how there are so many players and fakes etc. and how they are so sick of it.....and now with the new feature here of the "friends list" they seem to have nothing but that type on their friends list....i have just seen this a few times and wondered what others think of the phenomena...[:)]

It makes me snicker, especially when they're in my area and I don't recognize them. We have a very active kink community...at some point, I'd recognize you if you'd been trying that hard to meet people in any place -other- than the internet.

i see it all the time. i also think that alot of people add "friends" just because. It reminds me of the myspace thing, to see how many they can get on there friends page. For me, i only add those i have messaged back and forth with.

i can't agree with you more...i have four on my friends list and two i met before my relationship i have now which is almost one year long....two are just men i have corresponded with for a while who i think are neat...[&:]

nods head yes i 've seen it howeveer i find it funny that many ask me to join their "harem" of friends (without even knowing them). one guy i turned sent an angry message before blocking me - i guess it was very unsubly of me refusing such of a domly request.

Or more importantly, the people on that list? Judge not...etc... The having a million friends thing, yeah that's annoying, but another matter....

i have followed your posting "sambamanslilgirl"....and respect your opinion...i just see this one guy on my local list all the time who goes on and on about the loser and how they wastee their time..and rather than tell him personally about it i picked this forum...lol..maybe he will see himself...i doubt it though..LOL[;)]

How can you tell if a person is a player or wannabe from looking at their pic in a friend's list?

Well this guy is like 55 years old..older than me..he has the majority of his friends as 18-24 year olds...now i am not saying he is a player just a bit naive maybe...if a person has 100 friends in one month..come on! edited to say: well i never said he was a wannabe just what he typed..not sure if that works..maybe i was wrong...have to research this now..thanks!

In your first post, I wondered how on earth you knew what people were like from their pictures... and then this last post... I see you are very judgemental and have some interesting ideas about what is what.. not sure how old you are, but most of life is not so black and white.. and things are not always as YOU think they are... wow

Hey You are right..and i am judging mostly one profile and i bow to your understanding of what i posted.....but when i see a bunch of 18 year olds not on here more than a few months i wonder....

If only it were just a dom thing :) All the subs who insist that they get involved with someone who respects their "gift" and not just someone looking for easy sex...and then have sex with them immediately and whine to the boards a week later about how he won't answer email anymore.

How do you know that every one of them is a player and a fake? Just because they turned you down?

Otter (may I call you Otter?) I'd like to make a suggestion. Perhaps the observation in your initial post would have been better placed in your journal. I find the journal feature a great place to vent my feelings and frustrations in a spot where I'm not in danger of flames. It gives me the release of putting my thoughts out where interested people can read them, but I can also delete the entry if I have second thoughts a week later. It also provides some added information to anyone who reads my profile - they get a little more insight into who I am and how my brain works.

Greetings otter, I have quite a few friends and its split about 50/50 between those I know in real time and those I know strictly through some means of electronic communication, not limited to internet, IM and email. Some of the people who are much younger than me are active sexual partners of mine - now maybe your rule doesn't necessarily apply to me, since I am a slave - however, when one makes a blanket statement, then one must be ready to explain to all whom are covered by it what the intent was... well wishes ~ fairer than she

I hadn't noticed the friend feature until someone friended me, so obviously have no idea what you are talking about. If it's so easy to spoke a 'wannabe' by their profile, then why do so many people complain about bumping into them?

Thank you Celeste, how true, I have been called a fake because I have turned down Doms here and quite a few. I have been turned down also, doesn't make them any less who they say they are. playfulotter, I have friends on my list, I personally know all of them. I recently met one at the LF&P in Washington DC this past Saturday. I recognized her from her pic on my frends list as she is a friend of my friend. Besides, big deal what people do to their profile, it is theirs to do what they will... right? They want 5 or 500 people there so what... From a different perspective, I pretty much add anyone. I'm not trying to collect or anything, I just figure if they think I look pretty enough they want a pic of me on their page, I can take that as a compliment. I have a Myspace, and it's much more private than this. I have it set for private, and only add people I've met personally or become very familiar with on the internet. My UM's, my family, and my friends. That's my growed up, cautious side. This page is my childish, exploding curiosities side! I love coming here. I'm probably more honest about myself here than anywhere else in the world. If, for some reason, someone wants to add me, eh, I let them. Big deal. If that makes other people think I'm a loser or a wannabe...well, I've been called worse by better, you know?
