Oh, yeah, it works. I get the 'risk vs. reward' thought...when accomplishments get 'Good girl' and rewards, and sitting on your ass gets you a sore ass, what are you in the mood for today?

I guess I kind of do the same thing sort of, more like I just know Sir would be proud of me to know I bust my ass at work, I take care of those I love, and I still serve him. And I havent gone insane or had a breakdown. Sir's told me he adores how strong I can be. And that, never questiong Sir, He tells me Im pretty then I am, He tells me Im a good girl, I am. He tells me Im strong, I am. And thats all that matters

There is nothing better than being a good submissive and pleasing Your owner. Even if we know that Master or Mistress won't notice it
should still give an internal feeling of joy. The whole idea of a Dominant slave relationship is to make the Dom happy and try to be
the best slave you can. if you need to play internal games with yourself to motivate yourself to please i think it's a good idea.
Whatever gets you to be a good slave is, well good. i also think it's more sane than the people in the scene who are here only for
self gratification. Don't feel badly because you want to please your owner feel glad that you've found a way to motivate yourself to be a
better slave.

Yes, now and then I'll motivate myself by imagining a scary dominant woman ordering me to do whatever I've decided needs doing. I've also found that a good way to cope with privations and discomforts is to imagine that they're being deliberately inflicted by a subtle sadist. But it definitely requires a certain suspension of disbelief!

oh, yes. when i'm running late on the walk to work or i'm distracted and i know i should sleep or i'm pretty sure i'm going to freeze to death and that i cannot walk another step... i imagine His voice in my head and then it isn't so difficult.

i don't think talking to yourself in this way is insane, so long as some part of you knows it's yourself and that inner D doesn't do anything like tell you to set the cat on fire or anything.

it does happen. that's when you get depressed.

anyway, why do you think of it as not being worthy? why do you assume that those of us who have this voice in our heads are unworthy, and then imply that we're too fat and spend too much time on the computer to be worthy of anyone?

why even assume people who have this inner voice don't have real D's?

I don't know that I so much imagine a dominant giving me orders, but I do know there's stuff I manage to do because either he's ordered me to (i.e., exercise and eat better) or that I think he would be pleased to hear I'm doing (like my part of the housework in my vanilla household). The whole exercising and eating better wouldn't be done if it wasn't for my not wanting to dissapoint him. Kinda sad in a way that I can't do something that will benefit me for myself, but I can for him. But hey, whatever gets me behaving all disciplined.

Guilty of the same. That little dominant voice in my head ordering me to clean, go to work or class or the gym, etc existed far before I found one to tell me to do those things in real life.

I know a male sub like that. He isn't lazy at all, but sometimes tells me he thinks of me giving him a command in order to do household tasks he is putting off. Prolly does them with a stiffie, too LOL
