I think Washington, Jefferson, and many others of our original founding fathers would gladly shot that fool for such a statement. I guess he forgot that if this country was created by God then there would be no Seperation of Church and State as happens to be in the First Amendent of our Constitution. Germany is a Christian Nation, it's in their Constitution, but religion is no big deal to them, it's part of the state and has lost meaning. The US has the most religous population of the western world, inspite of, or because of, the First Amendment. McCain, you're a fool.

Oh, one more thing... Paraphrase and I cannot remember the source: Those who seek political power are the ones who should most be denied it. Those who would best fill the jobs have no desire for it. So, it seems, we'll always be dealing with those who should not wield such power.

Atheism is just not seeing any more reason to believe in an imagined nut than Micky Mouse. It really is no big deal. Children believe in Santa Claus until they are told by their parents or friends that Santa Claus is a fantasy. People believe in god because their parents or friends never told them god was a fantasy. The problem is that if someone isn't told something is a fantasy before they are thirteen, they go on believing for life. Sad really.

Hmm this is an interesting thread... I notice that the everyone in this thread is up in arms about some random guy who is pro-McCain saying "get rid of Islam" essentially.. but when Obama's pastor says America is at fault for 9-11, Blacks should sing "God Damn America instead of God Bless America", that the Govt invented AIDS to kill black people... no one blinks. I don't know about you all, but to me, a mans pastor saying such things...especially since Obama has been in his congregation for 20 yrs, he Married Obama and his wife and baptized his children... is raise more flags than some nut job who wants McCain to win. Is this just more hypocracy from the lefts mantra machine? At least now we know why Obama refuses to respect the American flag.

McCain sought Parsley's endorsement. This was a calculated attempt to get a prominent fundamentalist leader to endorse him right before the Ohio primary simply to force Huckabee out of the race. By that point McCain had no realistic chance of not winning the nomination so the question is why did he do it? Why get in bed with this guy and John Hagee?

We had a great candidate and his name was Ron Paul. Signs in yards across the whole country and raising record amounts of money. Does no one find it strange that McCain is taking the same stance on issues that bush is and bushs approval is in the high teens yet Mcpain is winning in landslides....but is almost broke. So I guess it also makes sense that so many millions funded Ron Paul and put his signs everywhere but didn't want to vote for him? Oh yeah I almost forgot...The voting in America is completely rigged. One only needs to look as far as google or youtube to know this yet nobody in our government or news wants to change a thing...hmmm
