Master and i were talking the other day.  We just celebrated 2 years and he asked me, sweetheart how long did we know each other before we played for the first time?  I told him we talked for 2 months on the phone, but if you are talking about face to face.  It was 3 days and 18 hours of conversation.  We had a instant connection.

If you would care to share i would like to know how long you knew your Master/Daddy/ Dom/me or whatever you call them before you played.

Two weeks, I met them both at a fair we spoke from when we met till when they left, we then spoke online every day for the two weeks then I went up there and the rest is history, like you it was an instant connection.

For me, the timeline between meeting and playing as been as short as one or two minutes ("I loved your demo; could you do that to me") to ten years (She lived in another country and had initally written me through Greenery Press).

With Libby, it began with an email from her ("I think we share some interests in common") on 2/20/92, progressed through a series of emails and phone calls and ended with her driving from Boston to New York on 2/29/92.

We chatted over the internet for about a year... When I first met her our schedules required her to come out to visit me because I couldnt get that much time off from work.  When giving her a ride home from the airport I couldnt take it any longer so pulled over jogged into the woods and did a muff dive and quickie and got caught by some guy hiking in the woods with his dog.  That was like eleven years ago.

We chatted and talked on the phone for a month. Met for breakfast which turned into spending the whole day together. Played on the second meet, about two weeks later.

Is it play when you make out for the first time, and the Dom is aggressive, or does it take a planned, outlined scene for it to be play?

hmmm

not long infact, his ex wife introduced me to him when they were still married. She passed along my list and we talked for one night and emailed each other for a few days and then the next weekend we played.

I don't know.  I answered in terms of how quickly someone uses a wooden spoon on me. ;)

i know you didn't ask for the run down, but i was on a roll so why not...

3 months  and 2 weeks before meeting in person
3 more months before being alone with him not at a Starbucks or anything
2 more weeks before sex
7 more more months before clollaring
2 more months to anal
(maybe another) 3.5 months before my first flogging in private
1 more month til first public play

So  from "meeting" online to public play - about 20 months[:)]

Three weeks.  It was exactly as long as he had said it was going to be.  To the day. My Lord is an arrogant bastard, but when he's right, he's right. 

It was months before that we actively began exploring the BDSM side of things, but my coming to him in the manner I did was an act of submission.  Since then, it's pretty much been a learning experience.  If school had been this much fun, I'd have been an honor student.  [;)]

I talked to my Master on the phone, then progressed to webcam over a 3 month period.  We have been together ever since and on Monday W/we shall be celebrating 1 year since He collared me.

We had been communicating for maybe 2 weeks when I flew out to NYC. We played the first day we met in person.
We felt an instant connection, It was just amazing.

I'm a very all or nothing girl.  I know very quickly whether I have chemistry with someone and have always moved very quickly once I find that with someone who is open to exploring it as soon as we have the opportunity.  The chemistry, however, is pretty rare.

Jason, usually I use play if it involves something beyond just a scarf tying my wrists. Basically if he pulls out the toy bag. Rope, wooden spoon(s) of doom, clamps etc.

I met my 'Daddy' on here and we went from taking on here to msn and then i was down one day and wanted cuddles and he offered to come and give me them and he appeared at my door at 11.20 at night by 12 i was smitten by 5 i had fallen for him  and then from the thursday night/friday morning i saw him on the Saturday and we played a little - and it was his first time to (at playing)

Two years! But then we were friends who each had awful and/or inately vanilla significant others. Still, there was an immediate attraction...talk about frustration in anticipation, though! Jeez!

We started talking on the phone last August, that lasted just under a month, even though we lived about 10 miles from each other.
We played on the second meet. He granted me a collar on the 25th of February.

i met him on a site, like this one in a chat room. we chatted everyday for 8 hours for two weeks. i flew to meet him. we spent two amazing days together, we played the first time we met. long distance stinks, but a good one is worth waiting for. glad i didnt wait too long at the beginning.
