Ryana, I understand how that feels. People don't understand that you led a vanilla lifestyle outside of the BDSM one. Several of us are that way. Mundane lifestyles have to be practice in order to live like we do.

My mom does not know about my kinky side. She just knows that I am wishy washy in my attitude (I am a switch). I can be dominating one minute and submissive the next. That is my nature. Sure I reside with her (the geek living at mom's house), but here I get my treatments for my bipolar disorder, I have a place to live which my low income (I am on SSI) can sustain and I can keep her company. I use the forums as a way to keep myself in the know about BDSM. If there was a munch here in this rural area, I would have mom drop me off there and I can enjoy myself for a bit (no luck so far, but I cam content).

You cannot be kinky 24/7. There are certain times you can be kinky and that includes submitting at the proper time.

I hate it when something that used to be interesting from time to time gets taken over by a pair of narcissists.  It would be nauseating enough if he were only to go on and on about her beauty, but he frequently has to say how handsome he is, himself - although curiously enough, that opinion does not seem to be shared by others.  I don't know that I've ever run into someone before who went on and on about their own good looks when clearly their mirror is a Mirror of Erised (the mirror in the Harry Potter series that shows you not the truth, but your hearts desire - the word "erised" is desire in reverse).

I just wish everyone else would block them and stop responding.  Sigh.
