So... 7 tattoos later, my daughter has convinced me that I need to get a bike and ride with her, I have my eyes set on the Suzuki Katana 600.  A lightweight beauty!

Have you taken a look at the Suzuki SV650 as well? They're even a bit lighter, and IMO, have a more enjoyable powerband. Just a suggestion [:)]

Nice!  I gave it another look when you made the suggestion and you're right.  Specs are close and you seem to speak from experience.  I think I'll take them both out for a test spin and make my decision after the ride.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Also...when I seached it on Yahoo the following pic came up.  http://www.motorcycle-journal.com/forum/attachments/off-topic/4237-yamaha-fz6-vs-suzuki-sv650-vs-suzuki-gs500-56k-big-ass1.jpg

Oh the power of feeling free to let it all hang out.  lol

I build and ride choppers, have an extensive leather wardrobe, would eagerly leap into a barroom brawl, or sensually glide across a ballroom dance floor and neither submission nor dominance would affect how those moments unfold.

Wow, such anger and animosity. No, that's not what I was saying at all. I didn't say when I see a domme I think they are  a biker.

She wasn't displaying anger or hostility that I could tell.

Lordandmaster -> RE: It's probably incorrect to assume this but... (3/16/2008 12:00:49 PM)

He didn't say or imply that all dommes are bikers.  In fact, he said the opposite: as he sees it, all bikers must be dommes.

I agree with the earlier comment that if female bikers are in the life at all, they tend to be submissive.  But overall I think quite a few bikers are into d/s.  Not all, of course, but many.

Everytime I see biker women. The leather, the overall toughness in their appearance, I usually always assume they are into the lifestyle. Or maybe that's just because I have a dirty mind. Does anyone know any dommes who are also bikers?  Any thoughts in general? Thanks.

I hang out with people who have bikes and I wear leather.  That must mean I'm a biker too.

DragonLady5 -> RE: It's probably incorrect to assume this but... (3/19/2008 9:12:55 AM)

Never assume anything. I've always loved leather, BDSM (but no practical real-life experience) and got my bike last year as what I refer to as my "mid-life crisis". I don't look like the "typical" biker chick (yes, I know - stereotype) that I've seen at the bike shows. A recreational biker, I guess you could say. Ride a beautiful black Honda Shadow Aero 750, just perfect for me. I'm not "tough", just a grandma (literally) enjoying her bike and her fantasies.

Dnomyar -> RE: It's probably incorrect to assume this but... (3/19/2008 9:35:37 AM)

You can't be a biker chick if you ride a Honda. The politicaly correct term is biker hen.

Goddess2002 -> RE: It's probably incorrect to assume this but... (3/19/2008 2:20:24 PM)

LOL...I would never assume anything by what people wear...I wear pastel Lilly Pulitzer and Tory Burch clothing all the time, which tends to scream "yuppie soccer mom". But I like the dichotomy between my outward appearance and my Dominant personality. It keeps people on their toes![sm=crop.gif]

Missokyst -> RE: It's probably incorrect to assume this but... (3/19/2008 4:05:59 PM)

Many of the biker females I have met over the years were into this stuff.  However, I never met one who was dominant.  I met women who waited on their men.

I am in Fla. and we have a lot of Bikers, (99%ers and 1%ers..) and old Motorcycle Clubs (MC's) and enthusiasts. My old town used to have a bike rally down town once a month because it was such a popular area.

I owned a bike once apon a time and rode. I loved it.

Would I ride on someones bitch bump? Uh no... not even a Queen seat. Just not for me. I want my own bike thanks.

You would see a lot of gals in our area with thier own bikes. It was fairly common. I thought that was the coolest thing.

In the large "outlaw" style clubs ~ Hells Angels, Pagans, Banditios.. ect. The men rule.. and the women are seen as subservant.. The "old lady" or his "bitch"

To the Op... if you find a Mistress who has an interests in bikes hold on to her.. or find one who you can get interested in bikes if that is your thing.

Walking into a biker bar and throwing yourself down infront of a lady ( who is most likely taken by the biggest baddest dude in the joint) would not be good for your health.

*chuckles at the idea of the scene that would create*

Daytona bike week is always fun BTW....

Why? Because it's not a Harley? I don't throw away my money.
No way am I politically correct anyway. And most biker chicks don't ride their own bike. I just love the look on people's faces when I take off my helmet. Definitely not your stereotypical "biker chick". I love it.

AS11 -> RE: It's probably incorrect to assume this but... (3/19/2008 6:07:46 PM)

Shifted, you a dominant and a biker, damn girl I would have never know. Tell me, who rides bitch on your bike?
