wooohoooo for tomboys!!! Having to wear clothes just suck...tomboy or feminine.  Although when I dress more feminine it has a different feel...but just a good enough feel for a day.  I personally prefer sandals to heels.
When I started getting into the girly stuff i took it one day at a time.  Started with a girly skirt and sandals (luv my sandals) and a form fitting shirt.  So I still had my sandals (not heels) as a safety blanket...and i just added on to it and now i'm comfortable in either but only feminine if I have to (work/church....some dates).
Good luck! can be fun or a real kicker.

It makes you smile mysteriously, and for some reason people think that's feminine, too.

This is actually true. When I was doing burlesque, I always tried to think of something that made me smile inwardly, to help with nerves. I got more complements on the mysterious way I seemed to know something interesting or funny about the whole audience, than just about anything else.
