I love it when I catch a break. The "check engine" light has been on for a while in my car because the computer has been giving an "evap system" code for some time now. I was told I need a smoke test (for all you girly girls out there... they fill the system with smoke to detect a leak), and there are not a lot of places in town that have the equipment. So I've been putting it off and putting it off. But my inspection is due and it will fail for the check engine light.
So I do a little research and see a lucky break heading my way. I have to pay for the first $20 in repairs, and the state will pay for the next $500 in repairs, because it's an emissions issue, and they have a clean-air program to pay for this stuff. The mechanic that I took it to told me that he thinks the $500 will cover the problem. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!
