ORIGINAL: cyberdude611 The whole Democratic party is a joke in my opinion... They keep claiming they are going to clean up the budget and get the country's economy back on track....bullcrap! They want to eliminate the Bush tax cuts which means everyone who makes over $30,000 a year will have to pay more money to the government. How does that help the middle class is something someone is going to have to explain to me. And just this past week the Senate voted and refused to cut pork barrel projects. John McCain was leading the charge to cut the pork out of the budget and only 29 senators agreed with him. Congress has no intention, no intention at all no matter which party controls it, of balancing this budget. Sadly, you're right. The Democrats have never lost their addiction to "tax and spend" politics, and the Republicans can't resist any proposal to curtail civil liberties. Even moreso than in 2000 and 2004, "None of the above" is the best option this election cycle. Among Clinton, Obama, and McCain, McCain is the least noxious. His campaigns against porkbarrel politics predate his election campaign, whereas Clinton and Obama are new converts to the idea. He's likely to get my vote this time, merely because the idea of Clinton or Obama as President is downright scary.
