Do people in 24/7 service really drop everything and run to their Mistress or Master, not caring about their job or how they will pay their mortage?
Personally? In my ideal and goal D/s relationship that is exactly what I want, just as it's what I have in my non-submissive spouse: 100% first priority. However, having that (again, as with my spouse), I would use basic common sense and respect with that position of priority.
Knowing that you can call someone out of work just because you feel like it in the middle of the day is much separate from being someone who would do it. I'd not call my spouse or my slave out of work unless it was an emergency (and sometimes not even for that... I've taken myself to the ER for non-life-threatening things just fine haha).
