Speaking of TV shows deteriorating...... I watch very little TV myself, but I remember a time when "Maury Povich" used to be a talk show, with information and discussions on a variety of topics. The last few times I've caught part of it (couldn't stand to watch the entire show), it has turned into a "Teen Girls Gone Wild/Teen Girls Out Of Control/Paternity Test Proves Who's Your Baby's Daddy" type show. One show that stands out in my mind had a woman on it, who was **SURE** that this guy was her baby's daddy. Of course, he wasn't. And after Maury calmed down her hysterical histrionics, he told her that he would continue doing paternity tests until he found out who the father was. Oh. Did I mention that this was the ~~17th ~~ paternity test he had done for this woman???????? *shakes head sadly* Is it any wonder that I watch so little TV? I mean, really, who needs to watch all this garbage?? Sorry if I hijacked your question, AlwaysLisa, but this seemed like a good place to throw in my two cents worth. I have never seen "Moment of Truth", except in promo trailers. But I guess it proves that people will do anything for a buck. I have *NEVER* watched American Idol, Survivor, The Great Race, Dr. Phil, Oprah, nor any of the other "mega-hit" "can't miss 'em" TV shows. When it comes to what are considered popular TV shows, I am totally perplexed as to why they are thought of as so great. OK, mini-rant over. We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread....... *picks up her soapbox, tucks it under her arm, and quietly exits, stage left* LadyTeazer -- proud Owner of [saberwolf34] and still a WOW -- Wonderful Older Woman
