Actually, it's more appropriate for children.

Q: Can you tell an entire story using on the words green, yellow, black, and pink?

A: GREEN, GREEN! Yellow? Blackblackblackblackblack. *pink*!

I’m racking my brain here. I think I get the "green! green! yellow?" part because I’ve heard such jokes before (and "pink" is a part of the joke) – but the "blackblackblackblackblack" part has me stumped.

That’s what I though at first. The joke (usually making fun of someone with an accent) goes something along the lines of:

"The phone goes, green! green!"
I pink it up and say "yellow?"

"I’ll call you black."

But I don’t see what that has to do with children or "safe for work."

Nor do I see how blackblackblackblack becomes "blah blah blah."

You need to spend more time around children. Then you will relize that the funniest jokes are the ones which make no sense at all.

It is safe for children or work because there is no foul language or sexual innuendo in it.

You are making this more complicated than it is.

I didn't get it and I answer the phone by saying Yellow when it's a friend. Like in "Yeah Hello".
