Windygal -> Drumming (3/16/2008 4:44:41 PM)

Hi all,

I am interested in purching a set of canes to do drumming. Has anyone seen them in a set somewhere with a case of something to hold them?

I can't say I've ever in all my years of traveling and vending seen a set with a case...but here goes some resources for you:

Vera sells THE most cool cases in the world.  The XL Flogger case is what you're looking for to carry canes.  I can easily carry most that I'd want to travel with in this little case, along with some of my specialty canes (cabon fiber rods) strapped in the special section on the flap.

Whypdancer makes some of the nicest canes around, and she guarantees them.  She's got a great handle on her finished canes and treats them so they're resistant to staining and more able to retain moisture that is vital to not breaking the cane.

Bearman bought Hanson Paddle a number of years ago and sells some of the most decent bulk canes for the best price around.  These will NOT be finished or sealed canes.

Most of my synthetic canes have come from Ms Velvet.  She died towards the end of last year, but her family is keeping the business going.

Some other great canes I have in my collection:
