Recently I got a couple emails from some people asking to to discuss the relationships of bdsm, vampirism, and succubus. Has anyone any experience in these area? Any thoughts suggestions or ideas for me?

iwillserveu -> RE: Vampirism and Succubus (7/16/2004 3:19:53 PM)

I've heard of people who dress up like vampires and fetish drinking blood. Never talked to one though.

A succubus is a demon type that seduces young men to give it their seed and carries to young virgins it rapes and impregnates. If I remember the guys usually die of heart failure when the succubus turns from a gorgeous woman to a monstrous looking demon. The male version is an incubus. (Anyone else see that Nightstalker episode.[:)])

How that gets turned into fetish I have no idea.

Sounds kind of like it'd be something to learn more about and be VERY careful considering getting involved in that type of play..

Just ask them to put away their Poppy Z Brite collection for a bit. ;)

Seriously if they're one of the few that genuinely believe they are some modern day dracula then your best bet is to move on and save yourself the headaches from the psychward.

Ya know what annoys me more than anything? Its when someone outside the BDSM alternative lifestyle community says that BDSM is nothing more than an excuse to abuse women. When they say its a form of modern day slavery and women get no say, nothing gets on my nerves more. Why would someone make a comment on a topic they obviously have no idea what its about. They need to stop reading the porn stories and watching the movies and learn about it before they speak about it, or they just need to shut up. This is firmly how I believe, and I know many others who feel the same way, hense we have places to learn about it.

Well I recently started to read up on Vampirism today. Its actually a fascinating culture, granted not my cup of tea but fascinating. Surprizingly it has very little, if anything, to do with fangs, costumes, goths, or drinking blood. I intend to blog about my findings however the purpose of this message is directed at afmvdp. Unless you are willing to go out and find the truth for yourself, don't be so quick to judge.

"Seriously if they're one of the few that genuinely believe they are some modern day dracula then your best bet is to move on and save yourself the headaches from the psychward. "

People into vampirism don't believe in a modern day dracula nor do they require a psychward. Well maybe they require a psychward but can't the same be said about every dom/sub, ourselves included? Either way as far as I am concerned this thread is dead I have started to do a bit of research on my own and will continue to until I fully understand.

Actually that is where you are wrong my friend. I did not say that someone into the culture that enjoys the writings and sexuality of it is wrong or to be avoided I said if they genuinely believe they are a real vampire then they are to be avoided like the plague. Take this from someone who went to spent more time around people like Rod Ferrell in younger years then I would like to admit. There are genuinely insane people in that scene just as their are genuinely insane people in the BDSM scene and if you are unable to admit that then you just aren't being even the slightest bit realistic.

Hello, Everyone.
I may be a bit off topic here, but that's never stopped me from typing before, so I'll dive right in. I have some personal experience in the goth/vampire subculture. I lived in dallas for two years and was heavily involved in going to the 'goth/vampire clubs' and met people into both and into being gothic and being vampiric seperately. With that said, they classified themselves into three categories (or at least I did). The first were the 'blood drinkers' that engaged in actually swapping/taking/drinking blood. Sometimes safely, sometimes not, but I never heard more than an urban legend about anything that wasn't consensual. The second category was much smaller but seemed smarter and more cliqueish. They were the 'Psychic Vampires' and were more or less Satanistic in thieir view. (Referring to Anton LaVeys' Satanism **specifically**) The third group consisted of people who liked to dress and 'act' like vampires. They were generally gothic/vampire in manner and dress. I was gothic and not vampiric during this point and that is my outlook.
My experience with the notion of succubus' and incubus' (succubi, incubi??) is limited to the X Files and a few ghost stories.
Hope I helped, or at least entertained y'all.
As Always

I just read my own post and felt that I should add something else. The BDSM that occured was symbolic in nature (esp. for the "blood drinkers") and I know that whips and props were part of some peoples' costumes as both goth/vampire and all the classifications inbetween, but it was sporadic. Now, the Psychic Vampires are after, 'sucking energy' and this was part of the date and lay ritual that they employed. I suppose that it could be considered psychosexual, which is the essence of mind games and role play.
*hope I had a point, or made one*

Hi. After chatting to someone who deemed themself to be a 'white' vampire, I got really interested in the whole thing and the thought of being used as a 'donor' was a very erotic one. From what I can gather, white vampires have actual donors and they do not take blood without consent. Black or dark vampires take without consent.

It is not always the neck which is used. If the vamp is 'intimate' with his/her donor, often the inner thigh or lower curve of the breast is used. They can use porcelin or otherwise fangs, but often a knife is used (similar I imagine to cutting).

Someone else I chatted to had a particular fetish which I also found to be very erotic. He is qualified to extract blood with a syringe and he often liked to extract blood from his submissive and put the blood in his wine and drink it. Blood is the pure essence of human existence .. and to have someone drinking that is just so powerfully sexy to me .. *grins*

I don't know about having someone drinking it, but I'll agree that having someone playing with it is incredibly sexy to me, and it does have something to do with it being the the "essence of existence" as you called it.

I like to watch it ooze up into a cut and eventually break the surface tension so that it can drip. Watching it splatter and spray from percussion play is incredibly hot, for me. Seeing my partners splashed with it after a great scene always makes me smile. I love the feeling of it running down my skin. Having someone playing with it - smearing it, drawing on me with it, rubbing it on my lips, etc - is an incredible turn on too.

Playing with blood is extremely intimate for me, not just because of the disease risk, but because it's the thing that carries *life* through my body. I don't let just anybody get inside my skin like that, for a lot of reasons, so it's very powerful when we go there.

I have a friend who has a blood fetish; I'll never forget the time he watched Suz do the cutting on my leg. When the first big drop of blood broke the surface tension of the cut and began to run down my skin the sound he made was primal, almost orgasmic. Just seeing the blood flowing like that was enough to push him almost to the edge. It was amazing to share something like that with a dear friend.

Playing with blood is incredibly powerful stuff. I'm grateful that I have friends who will share it with me.

wow...I didn't even think much about this thread, as I don't know anything about vampires other than novels and folklore, but in reading that line I remembered how intimate the act of shareing blood was....

Anybody remember doing the "blood brother's" thing as a child?

thank you for reading this, have a great day,
