This conference today and tomorrow is one of the largest gatherings of liberals and progressives in America.

Both the Clinton and Obama supporters are there in force,but are getting along quite nicely.

To the chagrin of the rightists and media douche bags, the two camps are having fun and working on the things they need to work on to win in November.

They aren`t fighting or getting upset in any way.

I was listening to a radio broadcast from the conference in Washington DC today and things are going well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are a couple of malcontents suggesting that the Democrats are "falling apart" or "destroying themselves"
It`s just wishful thinking and desperation on the part of righties.
If this conference of young energized people is any indication of November,we`ll do just fine.
Perhaps their supporters are liberal, but that does not make them so... perhaps "progressive" is the right term as most democrats hate the label "liberal" these days.
My sincere question as someone who is strongly considering a vote for Obama, why are you getting so worked up about what other people rant and spew about your party? One thing conservatives still seem pretty good at is keeping democrats running around and worrying about what they say. It sort of reminds me of posers I went to high school with that were so worried that everyone would see that they were posers, so they went out of their way to counter everyone that called them a poser.
To me it is just spew from people who are hoping to get ya riled up and defending your "team", why feed it with this thread?
       Well now!  If two groups of leftists have gotten together and agree with each other, that certainly means all us ignorant non-communists will fall right into line, doesn't it??? <sarcasm>
      Wishful thinking.
Good question for presidential candidate H. Clinton would be how she defines "progressive"? Terms "liberal", "progressive" "conservative" in US have lost clear meaning. In many cases they are used to indicate certain economy views only (liberal=high taxes and big government for example).
Webster dictionary:
liberal
favoring reform or progress, as in religion, education, etc.; especially favoring political reforms tending towards democracy and personal freedom for the individual,
sometimes distinguished from progressive, as connoting somewhat more conservatism
What kind of change democrat candidates realistically offer? Hillary would give some rich people money to people who can not afford healthcare. What else? It is just an empty rhetoric as I see it. McCain is exactly as much "progressive" as democratic candidates.
