Allright, I have played a few times as a Mistress (nothing serious, never any scenes perse just telling my Mistress Friend's bois what to do to help me getting ready for my scenes and such) And have been reading up on the subject as it were since I cant learn everything online. Im currently reading The Mistress Manual, by Mistress Lorelei Sexually Dominate Woman by Lady Green Shes on Top edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel The Female Dominate (Games She plays) by Claudia Varrin Female Dominance (rituals and Practices) by Claudia Varrin and as alwasy S&M 101 (for the bazillionth time) Any other good reads I've missed Ladies? And as always I'd love any advice kind of along the lines of "If I knew then what I know now" or "For the Newbi..." and as always, Im going to renew my first aid and my crp certifications

There is one rule I always keep in mind and I have pounded into my subs head "Protect yourself always even if from me". He is new to that end of the whip and its a huge change for him. He had never really heard that rule even after all his years of being a Master. He just "assumed" all dominants took care of their property. I told him never assume anything... Oh thank you Miss Lashra for the advice! Im so excited I was reading the Mistress Manual before bed time, and she montioned something about shoes specfically Mistress Shoes....and I was thinking of those (im imagineing very high pointed red stelletos maybe latexy or pvc) sitting next to my school girl mary janes i wear for Sir. And just about fell out of bed giggeling like an idiot. Omg I'd get so...erm happy just seeing those two next to each other My Mistress Shoes...and my mary janes. I'd have to change my panties apon entering my closet every morning! AHAHA!!!! [:D][:D][:D]

If I knew then what I know now, I'd have skipped a lot of my Fem Dom stuff. But, it was important to learn what I was NOT as much as what I AM. My best bit of advice: Be who YOU are, not what you think society says, or what you are told, you should be. Master Fire

thank you Fire, as always the most poingient advice seems to come from you. This is a big leap for me..a very happy interesting and exciteing leap. Im so happy I started tottering on this edge a while ago.

One of the most enjoyable roleplays I ever had was playing the naughty schoolgirl who turned the tables on macho "daddy". Not only did he end up dressed like a schoolgirl with "slut" written across his forehead but seeing him with his short skirt hiked up and lacy panties down around his ankles trying to walk in heels was priceless.[:D] Your imagination is endless and your best tool. ~Lashra

I think the best teacher you have would be your Mistress Friend. I could be wrong, but you can always ask her for pointers...things she does to you and what purpose those things serve. I am working on that with kitten as we speak. She has switchy tendancies and when I punish/reward/session what have you, I explain to her...." I am doing this so that...." and I explain. This gives her insight and allows her to ask questions...granted this is specifically My way of doing things and has been explained it is best if you have your own way, but its a great resource and a good place to start. Plus she may let you sit in on sessions so you can see first hand how things work, what works and what to look for as in skin color and temp changes, and the like.

Mistress Friend...as in she is a Mistress and my Friend...erm that always comes out better in my head then in text. but yes actually her bois were the ones I got to play with in my little ways..infact I plan to question her untill she tells me to shut up at the next local scene get together. Shes got a full poly household...2 or 4 boys a Hubby and um of her own..and full time job I sware shes like wonderwoman or something.
