masamichi -> labels (3/19/2008 2:43:52 PM)

when i search for people on collarme there are lots of options. i was wondering what is the difference between a MaleDom couple and a poly household? a couple still looking would be a poly household right? it seems to me that someone looking for a couple would also be into poly yet when i look at profiles this is not always the case. just a lil boggle i had...

I guess it depends who you ask, i wouldnt consider a couple looking to be a poly houshold, i would consider a poly household to be more than 2 but I know not all think that. And again it depends on the persons definition, maybe an individual is looking for a couple for play only, that wouldnt ness be considered poly but could be. There are never clearly defined lines, each person makes each word have its own meaning.

Phin -> RE: labels (3/19/2008 3:12:13 PM)

everyone defines themselves, and others, differently. If it is someone that peaks your interests, say hello, see what is going on, if you are still interested after a reply with a couple of answers, good, if not, no big deal either.

2 (the couple) + 1 (they look for) is more then 2 ;)

in a way the OP is right, but propably the people in the profile, should be asked if one is interested.

always be on the safe side, we can speculate, but send an email and ask the couple--as that term like sub and slave vary with the wind.

Just goes to show very little is universal :)  You're generally correct though- a male dom couple looking for someone else is likely to be poly.  Obviously poly can encompass a huge range of varieties.

As always, treat labels as they are- skin deep.  You want answers, ask for more info.

daddyncherry -> RE: labels (3/19/2008 4:55:26 PM)

This is just my perspective with my limited knowledge on the topic.

i am the slave half of a MaleDom couple, we are seeking playmates, single girls and other couples to play with.....we aren't exactly monogamous but we are also not poly (IMO).

We aren't looking to be a poly household, we aren't looking for a third in our relationship....we are looking for friendship and casual play encounters. It would be great if those that we play with become friends, but it isn't necessary to the big picture....whoever we play with female, wouldn't be sub to my Master/Daddy after a scene or play would be over, if she was ever really submissive to him at all, save for in the sense of a bottom....and anyone male who would play with us, though i may be respectful during play, i don't want to have another Dom or Master, so we would just be friends.

We love just eachother....go home with just eachother (well unless someone needs to sleepover [;)])

Stephann -> RE: labels (3/19/2008 11:11:23 PM)

charlotte and I fit almost the exact same mold as daddyncherry (ironic, isn't it cherry? [;)])

We don't consider ourselves to be a poly household; to me that implies we already have someone living here with us.  Unless that happens, we fit firmly into the 'Couple' definition.  Even so, I rather like that we have separate profiles, if for no other reason than we both like having separate email accounts.

LadyPact -> RE: labels (3/20/2008 12:07:28 AM)

I tend to think a poly household would be more than just two, but that's obviously My opinion.  It might be different than others who use the term.
