It's on free preview for Dishnetwork subscribers, for how long I have no idea. I thought it looks interesting too. I recently returned from vacation in the Caribbean. I was impressed with a woman who operates a small bed and breakfast and I started fantasizing about how nice it would be to: 1). return to school and get a degree in Travel & Tourism, 2). open up something like the bed & breakfast, 3) work out some sort of retirement scenario where I live where it is warm, sunny, and has beaches. Like I said....fantasy. Fueled by rum and sun.

there was a secret lives of women about women who were into bdsm. it was over a year ago but maybe you can still catch it in reruns.

Dammit, I was just about to post this myself! [8D] Great minds think alike... It caught my attention due to their ad in People Magazine which features a picture of a woman half in business attire, and the other half in leather/latex and bearing a whip. I'll be interested to see how they present it, but I can't help but feel that it's going to make me facepalm. A lot.

I don't know about that... the mini docs they've produced on BDSM, ponyplay and other kinks has been pretty evenhanded. It's not everyday you see pony players portrayed as intelligent, fun loving (if slightly bent) folk. LOL

I saw the show they did with a woman who is a professional Domme. I thought they did a good job of showing all the aspects of this woman's life: wife, mother, etc, and not just making her look like some freak that likes to beat people for money. No reason to assume the other episodes of Secret Lives of Women are equally balanced.

The episode on polygamy seemed to be an objective look at the Morman practice. It dealt with families that seemed happy with the lifestyle, families with obvious unfun power exchange issues, and a woman whose purpose in life was to rescue women who wanted to be rescued. The episode on "Late in Life Lesbians" or something like that was less balanced; it was pretty much pro lebian. So am I, so I didn't mind.

I've thought about this question quite a bit. I'm not in to sploshing (I actually didn't even have a clue what that fucking meant until you divulged).... i thought it was a pretty good show... the fire dancing lady was really hot, if you'll excuse the pun. i've seen people do that before, but not that intesnely and it's neat to watch. i think they did a pretty good job showing everyone as a person who liked something weird and all that, and the second i heard "a bdsm personals site" or whatever it was that the baby-girl said, i knew she was talking about collarme. i don't know... the thing is, if people want to see the people there as freaks, they're just going to add their own narratives anyway... i'd be too chicken to do something like go on television with the things i do... some of them women had jobs where it didn't matter if people saw the documentary, such as the wrestler, but i wonder what happens the day after something like that airs on national television and you go back to work and everyone knows all of that? it would be too much.
