I know I should go to my gp, but everytime I do...she tells me whatever my symptoms are, are from being fat...without even doing any tests. Every single time.

Status: offline 		Well, I mean...healthy...as in...I do not have diabetes, my cholesterol was 177 last it was tested and my blood pressure runs around 90/60.

Status: offline 		If doctors are effective, then why are there tens of millions of bulimia patients? Why are the waiting rooms of doctors filled to capacity?
 
Doctors can do some things, like cleaning and stitching a wound. They do know lots of things that may be useful. And I have in most of my posts here stressed that dollparts85 should consult with her physician and therapists about her various issues. But those people have been at her for six years already without healing her.

Well said ESPECIALLY the "Easter Basket full of problematic eggs" comment. Everyday it's a new medical question. If you don't have insurance, get a Medical Assitance card & go to the Dr!

Id smack a bitch for telling Me that. Thats out of line for any dr.

And honestly....you do need to get into some kind of counciling. Some one that can help you deal with the mental as well as the physical aspects.

It doesnt matter what you do...or how you do it sweets...some people are just meant to be bigger than others. Not every one is a size 2. Its important for you to embrace who you are and what you are and to hell with what everyone else says.
But the fact is this...you keep on going down this road...you might as well go on and pick out your casket.

I am in therapy and I see an eating disorders nutritionist once a week...

and it is normal for any doctor to comment on a patients weight that is over weight.

And medicaid will pay as long as you have the issue.

I keep hearing alot of excuses why you cant and wont....and frankly its sad.

You need to stop making excuses...step away from the pc...and do what you have to do.

All of us talking isnt going to help you. All the things that we are telling you are things a good dr should be telling you...and yet you dont seem to be listening.

I wonder almost if you doing this is a way to get attention? If you feel that by making one excuse after another people will feel sorry for you for not seeking the help that you obviously need...or even if the issue is as you have stated that it is....
I cant see any reason why you would be concerned at all, yet you refuse to seek adequate medical care. Im confused by that in itself....

Somebody recommended paddling your arse. I think at this stage that may well not work.
Later maybe , but not now.
Discipline to which you  find you are able to submit  is the answer Always firm never cruel. and tending eventually to the sexual. Thats what you need IMO.

Assuming that you are basically physically healthy I believe you would soon blossom into what you want to be.
This may well happen naturally anyway so take heart from that.

Status: offline 		umm...no...you get a certain number of doctors visits per year...when you start to run out, you get a letter in the mail saying that you only have a certain number of doctors visits left.

I have gone in puking blood...and she did not do any tests. Severe stomach pain, indigestion, heart burn and acid reflux...no tests...she did check my gall bladder once which came back to be perfectly fine...and she told me to "stop eating fatty foods" which I thought was pretty damn funny considering I had a really low fat intake at the time LOL she didn't seem to believe me though. When I was gainign weight really fast...I kept going in insisting that something was wrong and she would just tell me to eat less and exercise more LOL wasnt until I gained the entire 170 lbs in TWO YEARS...that she finally did tests...to find out my thyroid was slow...stupid bitch LOL so I know she will do nothing for "stomach noises"

Everyones stomach growls.The medical name for it is called borborygmi. The sounds are caused mostly by the contracting of the muscles of the stomach and the small intestine as well as the large intestine, though less frequently. The muscles contract during the process of digestion.
However, if what is going on with you is extreme you need to talk to your doc.

well...as i said, the muscles contract during digestion. If you are not eating they would not contract...thus no growling.

Status: offline 		I strongly suggest getting another dr. This one is obviously ignoring the symptoms and signs that you have.

I have a medical card as well. Due to the kids father not paying child support and the like...and I have been to the dr for about  a million things and they have yet to tell Me that I have so many apts left.

Could be your state is different. But I still would suggest getting into see a different dr.

You cannot "heal" an eating disorder patient any more than you "heal" an alcoholic. Rather, you treat the core issue.
