Washing windows here, doing some housecleaning and hangin new curtains for a new look in the living room. Making sure the ferrets don't attact THESE curtains hopefully. watching 3 week old kittens explore my closet under the watchful eye of momma cat as the flowers slowly blossom outside. Mmmmm, I love this time of year! Happy birthday Divi!

Sigh... What was a picture perfect sunny spring day has turned into a grey, cool, kinda drizzly day, Domah. But the flowers need it and it helps keep me inside working where I need to be. And I care. I love this time of year. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right! [:)]

Went for a long walk in the park, and saw robins, and daffodils starting to come up. Yay Spring!

Well, I found out today I need knee surgery. However, in my off time from the doctor I planted some more bulbs...the third time in the same planter. We adopted two kittens last fall...and they like to rip up the planter..hence the bulbs well they die quickly. So, I'm hoping they have a chance to grow this time. Got into trouble for climbing up the brick wall by the jacuzzi...planted some tulip bulbs there. I had to cover an elephant plant bulb...risky with one leg. Other than that it was a wonderful day. We hit 62 for the first time since last October.

Oh domah - thank you thank you thank you !!! I do so love spring. I was walking around the other day - go hiking every weekend nowadays. And I saw daffodils and crocuses... but I also, saw.... CHERRY BLOSSOMS... they are starting to bud. And I taught a lesson just last week - I printed out some spring flashcards about planting and things. And the students put them in order. It's how I taught all those words - sprouts and sprouting, roots and rooting, buds and budding, etc. THEN I got a reading for them on prejudice and discrimination that used all those words as metaphor and they matched the discrimination actions with the planting actions - the conceptual with the concrete. It was a great lesson. I was so happy to bring both lessons - I love gardening and I love teaching about discrimination and nipping it in the bud (another metaphor *smiles). So, yes, darling Domah, I care about the first day of spring... I do I do I do.
