ORIGINAL: wulfgarw I just got done with a welding course (and now looking for a welding job but that's another story) and may build a cage w/ a padded top in the near future. It just needs to be able to break down and slide under the bed. Any design considerations? And Leatherist, I like your style of thinking... Use angle irons for the top sides, 1/8 inch thick. Have them bolt from below to heavy plywood with t nuts in the wood. 3/8 inch thick solids should be fine for the bars. if you have the wood overhang the tops and sides-the door can just have a tubing and bar method to hinge it on. The overhang prevents it being lifted off when it is shut. When you need to stash it,the whole thing just comes apart with nuts. When it's together, it's solid as a rock. Keep the sections light, and avoid giving yourself a hernia when you have to set it up and tear it down. The padded top is a good idea, I always made mine line up at the hieght of my cock when I was standing. You can probably guess why. Anywhow, this should double as a bondage table, and those are always handy-the bars under will give you lots of tie down points. I'll probably build one myself-when I get a place big enough to handle it. TMTA-enjoy dude.
