A classic such as this should never be re made. It should be a crime in the movie making business for such pios blasphamy. Unfortantly, I'm going to find it hard not to watch it with my Sci Fi interest. Seeing Keanu Reeves as Klaatu might be his best performance yet. After all, Klaatu is an alien from another planet who is not suppose to be familiar with every custom on Earth. He's suppose to be odd, monotone in speech, and have that slight aww about him. Whatver damage Keanu does to the movie, I think Jennifer Connelly's performance will make up for it. I still remember her from The Labrinth and enjoyed her perfromance in Dark City. She's a sci fi fantasy pro and will make the movie worth watching.
