ok this is really just a question to anyone out there that is interested in making some money - i read some ware that the porno industry was one of the biggest money making industry’s out there, with so many of us in debt who here would ever be interested in making a BDSM film and then sharing the profits with all the people involved?
just a question.

High profit but high risk too.

Just remember the money isn't in the making, it's in the distribution. You can make a porn film but then you have to get it out there. One website isn't going to cut it. You need wholesalers, retailers and a whole support staff. That's what kills most self-published authors. They have cases of books in the garage. How do they sell 'em? Same problem with videos.

Add to this, the justice department is gearing up for a big push against sexual expression. You think they are going to start with big operators? No way. These guys have deep pockets and might actually effectively fight back. They are going to pick up some poor jerk whose got a one-video website in Bangor, Maine. Indict him in Snake Junction, Arkansas, and watch him hemmorage money while making moral soundbites on CNN.

If you want to get a good idea of what the adult video industry is like, get a subscription to Adult Video News (AVN). Among other things they have a excellent legal section so you can get a good idea of what your government is doing.

I would bet most of the money, if the movie makes any, goes to the producers, not to the actors (and maybe even less to the submissive actors). And I would bet that if you want the movie to make money, you really need the producers.

(Btw, check your favourite slovar', it's "somewhere", not "some ware" ;) )

John, I think Alexei is not too concerned by the justice department, being on the... right side of the pond ;).
