I will never forget... one of my sisters was with me in China when her tummy wenta rumbly (maybe from that mysterious street vendor food) and she hurried to the nearest bathroom which was a yup.. squatter hole in the floor toilet. I felt sorry for her but I still had to laugh. All the ones I've used were pretty simple with ceramic foot slots to put your feet in as the thigh muscles quake and shudder while um.. going potty. The neatest bit was that nearly all the bathrooms I used also had an attendant handing out towels afterward.
