I've been trolled by a domme on these boards. Although I've told her on several occassions that her opinions and comments are unwanted on my threads, and in reply to my posts, she continues on a regular basis to post in response to me. Every one is negative. I finally blocked her, and I'm interested in knowing if anyone here knows if that means that she can't post on threads any longer, or is it that I just won't see them. I tried to find a moderator for the thread, but it said he hasn't been here in 9 days. I don't want her posting anything in response to what I post, and she won't stop. Is there anything else I can do short of leaving the boards which I enjoy?

In the Spirit of Freedom of Speach why cant you accept her postings even if Negitive or of an opinion that differes from yours? They are simply her opinion which can spark opinion in others. Why the fear of her posts?

Block means you don't get to read the blocked person's posts.

The rest of us are allowed to make the decision for ourselves... unless a Mod decides the posts really Are beyond the spirit or law of the boards.

To me one of the neat things about blocking is that it allows the other guy to continue to make an idiot out of himself while I don't have to watch the "drama." Of course, I get to see the replies (like yours Quivver) so I can occasionally guess what's up .... and laugh.

I doubt you'll see an answer to your question.

Exactly. He's not talking about the person he called an asshole, is he ? That was sooo mature.

Blocking should be enough-- you just won't see what she posts. That way, you don't have to be annoyed by her, and you can force yourself to take the high road of not sinking to a harasser's level.

Not having seen the original post, I have no idea.

[wide grin] Ah, the benefits of blocking

Calling a person an asshole in a post is a reason to get banned. He snuck that one under the radar by going back and removing it.

Legitimately answering a post without insulting the person is not a reason to get banned.

Unfortunately, some people post asking for advice when they don't like what they hear, they consider that flaming. This poster, I think, is still stung by the fact that people didn't stand up and tell him what he wanted to hear when he said he gave a bunch of money to a femdom he barely knew.

There have been other problems too, but that's the pattern: Ask a question and get pissed when the answer isn't what was desired.

Sadly, the world of BDSM is so complex that there rarely are easy answers. It's a case of not "drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring."

I don't fear her . I just don't need to be told how I should run my life by her, when all she is doing is trying to illicit a negative response from me.

Simply ignore her. maybe thats hard for you to do, but it does often work. Thre are always certain negative types, or people who just don't like you for god only kows why and they try to get under your skin.
many of these negative types simply crave any attention at all. So they are nasty and bad mouth people just to get that reaction. Well don't give it to them. Dont post argueing with this person, or bad mouthing them back. Simply do not even bother reading there posts and do not bother posting in response. If they can not get any reaction from you, they will stop trying, and move on.

If you post on the boards surely you expect to get replies.... not all are going to pat you on the back and say you are doing it right. People have different opinions. If you take the time to read the words and not take offence if they are not exactly in agreement with you, you may learn something new.

If you do not fear her, why does it bother you? If She posts thusly in order to yank your chain, you are giving Her the power to continue to do so by responding to her posts and I might add, by starting this thread. I am positive if she is merely toying with you, this thread must have given her fits laughing.

Short and long of it is this: These boards are public, and everyone posts as they wish here within the TOS. If and when you have someone who rags on you, the best option is to do as others have suggested and hit the ignore button. That way you cannot see what the person says about, or to you, so it no longer matters.

That is, it no longer matters... unless you secretly like the attention... things that make ya go "hmmm....".

HTH.

Then may I suggest toughening up your Hide a bit. And I dont say that as an insult,
only that it's obvious she isnt for you.
Best Wishes

Why on earth would you allow a cyber person to run your life? I don't know if I have ever met a dom yet who did not want a sub who could control themselves on some level.
The dom isn't the only one who needs to keep some of their errant emotions in check.

You should consider trying not to make yourself such an easy target for ridicule. Others have already mentioned the "typical domme" thread . And when you say stuff like "I don't want her posting anything in response to what I post" it comes across as childish and is as good as wearing a sign that says "kick me".
