Why is the media suddenly concerned about whether New York Governor David Patterson used illegal drugs back in the 70's?  Who cares?

First a feeding frenzy over how many affairs the man has had, and now this.  Is there really that little news to report in the world?

It's not really surprising... American news media absolutely suck - apart from a couple of newspapers and magazines.  

Get your news from a more trusthworthy source: they won't bother you with bogus bullshit like that cocaine story.

Perhaps conditioning; i.e…. “see, it ain’t so bad”???

I believe its because HE came clean in an effort to divert yet another potential NY gubenatorial scandal.

Yeah.   He soiled that young perky virgin, now he will be hung at the town square.

the key part is "New York"- a state who once was number 1.     Its imporance has faded as other states have become more relevent.

so-  has he been from  south dakato, we would not hear much.

I want to have a little faith in people and this country... but... I look at education standards being reduced to the lowest common denominator for the past thirty years... I look at a decline in skilled labor since the sixties, I look at the "career path" of politics, the sell-out media, and the ice capades... and somewhere along the way... that little spark that told me "It'll be okay, give them time." ... has been absolutely obliterated.

Hes admitting to everything that could possibly bite him in the ass in a yr or so i think. And showing a united front with the marraige that they got thru rough times better for it even?
I think its all smoke & mirrors.
He's a scarry person politically i think.
The light at the end of the tunnel is a train.
PS Last one out of NY please turn off the lights.

Except this is the media driving this.  I don't read where Patterson is being investigated by the DoJ.
