ORIGINAL: WalterRego I did a kennel-ful of puppy play a few years ago and was even "shown" and put through my repertoire of tricks at a Dom/sub Friends meeting demo at Paddles. I guess at a time when SSC reigns, your idea of a puppy negotiation form might appeal to many, but personally (and not to piss on your hydrant) I find the whole concept of negotiations and forms with a puppy - even a human one - to make as much sense as dressing up a real pup as a human. Yes, I know people do it. But a puppy doesn't speak, doesn't decide what to call itself, what kind of collar to wear or tricks to do. The whole idea (and to me, comfort) of being a puppy, was being picked out by my owner and having her decide all those things, while I simply gave her unquestioning loyalty, love and devotion. Perhaps you might consider reworking the form as a possible "Owners' Checksheet" that they get after they find and pick up their puppy from the CM Adoption Service. And from the form, "The hope is that this form can be used as a tool by all puppies and trainers to aid in communicating desires and expectations ..." I don't really see much difference between you, it's not a contract or limit-setting exercise, but an aid to focus the minds of both parties as to what they want from it, what they can expect; especially if they're communicating by email or messaging beforehand. Of course, when it comes to real time play things will evolve and develop, possibly in unexpected directions, but something like this can open the mind of the handler, who from my experience is much less likely to have thought about it long and deep than the puppy .. I love puppyplay myself, as a handler, and I hope to include a puppy show in the World Human-pony-play Championships I am organising in the UK June 20-23. The only regrets I have is that there are so few puppy-girls around ...
