Two guys driving through Texas get pulled over by a state trooper. The cop walks up and taps on the driver's window, the driver rolls it down, and the trooper smacks the driver in the head with his night stick.

"Ow!" says the driver. "Why'd you do that?"

The trooper says, "You're in Texas, son. When I pull you over, you'll have your license ready."

The driver says, "I'm sorry, officer; I'm not from around here."

The trooper writes the guy a ticket and gives his license back, then walks around to the car's passenger side and taps on the window. The passenger rolls the window down, and the trooper smacks him with his night stick.

"Ow!" says the passenger. "What'd you do that for?"

The trooper says, "Just making your wish come true."

"What the hell does that mean?" asks the guy.

"Two miles down the road, you were gonna say, "I wish that lousy asshole would've tried that shit with me!"

A lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a sheriff's deputy.   He thinks that he is smarter than the deputy because he is a lawyer from New York and is certain that he has a better education then any cop from Houston, Texas.  He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the Texas deputy's expense.

The deputy says," License and registration, please."

"What for?" says the lawyer.

The deputy says, "You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign."

Then the lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming."

"You still didn't come to a complete stop, Says the deputy. License and registration, please."

The lawyer says, "What's the difference?"

"The difference is you have to come to complete stop, that's the law.  License and registration, please!" the Deputy says.

Lawyer says, "If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don't give me the ticket."

"That sounds fair.  Please exit your vehicle, sir," the deputy says.

At this point, the deputy takes out his nightstick and starts beating the ever-loving
crap out of the lawyer and says, "Do you want me to stop, or just slow down?"

I know of a Texas DPS Trooper who used his baton to hit the roof of someones car and ask if they wanted him to stop or slow down.

A woman gets pulled over by a California Highway Patrolman for speeding.  He sets the video recorder up in his car and comes to the side of the car and asks her for her license and registration.  She hands them over and says, "How much will the ticket be, officer?"

"At the speed you were going, $225."

"How about I just write a check for that amount to the Highway Patrolman's Ball?" she asks, batting her eyelashes.

"Ma'am," says the officer kindly, "Highway Patrolmen don't have balls."

She gives him a big smile.  He looks at her, hands back her license and registration, and puts his ticket book away.  "Just a warning this time, Ma'am.  Have a good day."  He heads back to his car and erases the videotape as she speeds off.
