ORIGINAL: LadyPact Since it is My definition, it is more than appropriate for Me. Interestingly, your choice seems to be representative of you and in stark contrast to those definitions of mistress A woman who is refined, polite, and well-spoken: A woman of high social position or economic class A woman who has proprietary rights or authority, as over a manor; female feudal superior. A well-mannered and considerate woman with high standards of proper behavior. I don't mean to demean those that use any representation of themselves, but I have noticed a marked difference in profile text of those that include Lady in their handle versus Mistress. Did you perhaps have some subconscious inclination to the difference when you selected your handle. I have a few thoughts on the above post, as well as the OP. Firstly, you say the word Mistress seems to have conflicting definitions. Personally i dont see that, except for example seven, where the male obviously has the money and to a degree, the control. The post you have quoted seems to denigrate anyone using the title Mistress even if you didnt mean it that way. You have probaly shot yourself in the foot with any possible partner, who uses the term Mistress. It doesnt follow that a Mistress isnt a Lady, or that a Domina using one term is somehow better than another. I have certainly seen some profiles using Lady which have been off putting. In your thread the other day you said you had spent six hours reading the profiles. I suggest a better way to learn how many of the people on the forum think and act, is to spend six hours reading old threads. If you think about it, anyone can sit down for an hour and write a brilliant profile, but consistency of character shines through more, reading peoples posts. Good luck in your search and welcome to the forums.
