Labels are all sorts of fail for me.
Apparently, I'm not a twue submissive, a twue slave, and I can't be a switch, that's bad too.... and I'm a pro, so that messes up the labelers even more.

I'm a hella fake Lynx, and I enjoy being whatever that is.  >.>

Having checked my behind in the mirror, I would like to thank the OP for bringing the question up before any major accidents occurred - I should not have thought to check, had he not posted.

It would indeed appear that I am not appropriately labelled. I can only conclude that somewhere, over the last few days, the label has dropped off.

I shall therefore take a careful trip into town, where I might purchase a new label, appropriate for the purpose.

"CAUTION - WIDE LOAD"

E

LadyE, I love you!

Have you got two of those stickers? I need one for my arse.

I don't feel I've been labled appropriately. There's never anything on the checklists like "Prince of Ithilien" or "Captain of Gondor". What a rip. :-p

I do not fit into the standard dom/sub labels. I am a dominant sadomasochist, I enjoy the sensations from giving & recieving pain. I have no desire to be dominated or to be dominant to others in any other way. I say dominant, because in my vanilla life, I like to be in control of myself, but not anyone else. Weird, I know.

To give one example of a profile I've just read, this lady seems to have a propensity of inflicting pain with floggers and so on.  She depicts herself of be a strong woman that demands a slug at her feet, but I can't but help see a wounded soul that is using that as a vice similar to people that cut themselves or are overtly promiscuous.

So you are able to read between the lines of a profile and tell what a woman's true nature is, despite how she describes herself?

Well, ain't you special! Tell me, do you list this skill on your resume? "Who knows what insecurities hide in the hearts of mortal Dommes? Only the Shadow - and Semos -- knows."

To answer the original question, yes, I consider myself appropriately and accurately labeled.

My label of choice? Owner. and Mommy.
Both fit me appropriately.
So yes, my labeling has been approved.
I also had one that says "Does not play well with others" which can also be quite accurate.

Since it is My definition, it is more than appropriate for Me.

Interestingly, your choice seems to be representative of you and in stark contrast to those definitions of mistress

A woman who is refined, polite, and well-spoken:
A woman of high social position or economic class
A woman who has proprietary rights or authority, as over a manor; female feudal superior.
A well-mannered and considerate woman with high standards of proper behavior.

I don't mean to demean those that use any representation of themselves, but I have noticed a marked difference in profile text of those that include Lady in their handle versus Mistress.

Did you perhaps have some subconscious inclination to the difference when you selected your handle.

I have a few thoughts on the above post, as well as the OP. Firstly, you say the word Mistress seems to have conflicting definitions. Personally i dont see that, except for example seven, where the male obviously has the money and to a degree, the control.

The post you have quoted seems to denigrate anyone using the title Mistress even if you didnt mean it that way. You have probaly shot yourself in the foot with any possible partner, who uses the term Mistress. It doesnt follow that a Mistress isnt a Lady, or that a Domina using one term is somehow better than another. I have certainly seen some profiles using Lady which have been off putting.

In your thread the other day you said you had spent six hours reading the profiles. I suggest a better way to learn how many of the people on the forum think and act, is to spend six hours reading old threads. If you think about it, anyone can sit down for an hour and write a brilliant profile, but consistency of character shines through more, reading peoples posts.

Good luck in your search and welcome to the forums.

I know I'm not labelled correctly. It says 99% fat free, and I'm not.

I don't really subscribe to labels or worry about them.  I concern myself with the relationship between me and the person that I'm involved with.

If we are talking about my affiliations...i have no idea what "correctly" even means. If we are talking about my chosen sn, then yes. It suits me perfectly and all who know me would agree.
