Yep, this past weekend I told My sub to give Me a dollar.  The reason?  This makes Me, officially, a pro domme.  Now I can give Myself the supposed authority, recognition, and  stature that all pro's require, just because I made a buck.  I can now promote Myself as a therapist, counselor, or any other title I would like, just because I made him open his wallet.

Ok.  I can't even go on with the ridiculousness of the OP.  In fact, I gave the dollar back.  The point of the matter is, nobody gets more legitimacy just because they are getting paid for wiitwd.  There's a post going around the general discussion board just now that someone feels, because they made some money off of this, they are more entitled to direct others on how they should think and what they should do, just because they turned a buck at it.

Sorry.  I just had to get that out.

While pay for play isn't really my thing, Bitchy jones has a really hot take on it.

Basically, her idea is that the bottom gives the dom money up front. More than he can afford to pay. Money he desperately needs back. Every act has a price tag, and he earns it back by doing/allowing things to be done to him.

I'm afraid I laughed out loud, too.  Just from the silliness of it.

To steal a line..... Here's the thing.

Yes, I could have turned a buck or two (or more) from wiitwd.  I'd like to see us take a step back from these discussions that are so focused, supposedly, on the almighty dollar.  That neither validates, nor sheds more light on My opinion than anything else.  Calling Myself *just* a lifestyle Mistress or a pro doesn't matter one bit in the grand scheme of things.  There are pros out there that I respect, who have proven themselves, and there are those that I laugh at for their own inept skills that matter not one lick to Me.  Some are quite personable, and others have Domme's disease, with their head so far up their ass that they can't hear another's opinion.

I was just wondering if others saw it this way?

Im not going pro til I can get a million Dollars a session lol .... I have no problem with Pro Dominants .. if it is their thing .. more power to them .... but it makes them no more or less than anyone else ....

So, does that mean if I let him buy dinner and some of the groceries... I am a pro too? Just, sort of barter instead of actual fees?
