Justme696 -> RE: Being a slave = no longer human? (3/28/2008 10:14:10 AM)

I have met 2 girls, that were raised from a young age to be a 24/7 slave. They had both a hard time to adopt to real life, outside the house.
They had no opinion of their own and found it hard to interact and show emotions.
Hardly any humanity left..besides their female form.

This is not needed. It was the work of an egoistic shit Dom.

~fr~

I have read a lot of posts here by a lot of people. Some are Masters/Doms (and their female equivalents), and some are subs or slaves. All are human - in fact for the most part all are seemingly intelligent, thinking adults. (There's the occasional wanker or clueless wonder, but they are rare.)

The thing I notice most about the people who post here is that by and large they are not only content with the station they have chosen to fill, they feel that that station is what fulfills them. I have seen here no slaves who think they are not human (even the ones who speak in third person, which when done well can actually be charming). Most speak as though it is the most natural thing in the world, and I see them as more emotionally balanced than many people who try to deny part of what they are because of a pre-conceived notion of what is "normal."

pip - not sure if that made a lot of sense, but it's been building in me for a while and had to come out.

I guess what Im trying to ask is, how can you transition to being a slave when you're entire life youve been essentially "free."

whichever way you look at it ... I still would be free in the actual legal sense of the word.. however tight we may make a slave contract ..however much suspension of disbelief there is .. *whispers* I am actually still free to leave any time I like.
I know full well there are people who are not free to leave because they are held captive - they are not consensual slaves. There are people who have been made to believe they cannot survive without their Masters or they will be tracked down and forced to return - they are no longer consensual slave IMHO and are labouring under a misaprehension.

I am a consensual slave.keyword CONSENSUAL

Now I wont just get up and walk out the door whenever He spanks me too hard, but technically, legally, I can anytime I want to.  I will have invested *everything* into this relationship, moved across the world, given up friends and job and signed over all my goods and chattels, and I will want it to continue for as long as it benefits both of us.

With regard to everything I am giving up.Where does my degree go?...does it evaporate? .. no, its still attached to the property, its just not as an important piece of the property as say .. my cunt is. My degree and ability to work, or my CV aren't going anywhere. I am not suddenly becoming no longer human ... I am just an owned human.

pip, not only did you make a lot of sense, but what you wrote rang very true for me, especially this statement.

This is an absolutely perfect description of the way that i feel about my place in this world that i have found and made with my Master.  It is HOME for me, in every sense of the word.  It is comfortable and right for me to be where i am, doing what i am doing.  Thank you for posting this.  It says it all, for me.

Also, for the OP, the very definition of a slave is to be a person (human being), who is in servitude to another.
slave
(noun)
1 : a person held in servitude as the chattel of another
2 : one who is completely subservient to a dominating influence
slave (noun)
1 : a human being who is owned as property by, and is absolutely subject to the will of, another; bondservant divested of all freedom and personal rights
2 : a person who is completely dominated by some influence, habit, person

Choosing to be owned by another and handing over all control and decision-making power over me and my life to Him doesn't, in any way, mean that i give up my humanness or identity as a person.  In fact, it was the particular characteristics of my identity that my Master was attracted to and wanted to take possession of.  He has no desire to make me into a 'nonhuman' or lose my identity.  Just the opposite.  He nurtures my identity and encourages me to pursue my interests and continue to grow, as a person.

The stereotypes of what it means to be a slave (by choice) never seem to die, no matter how much is written and said to dispel them.

Meatlife is not like the porn and most of the erotica you read. Most 24/7 owner-slave dynamics will look amazingly mundane and loving to most people even if they don't have a clue about the authority dynamic.

AMEN!!!!

I think our very straight yet strangely very accepting of us neighbor once said it best, " You three sound like an old married couple only there are more of you".

That made me laugh cause it brought back a memory of a time that I was walking with my husband holding my left hand and my slave holding my right (no meaning in who was holding which hand) and another person saw us and said "You three make a cute couple" gave us a smile and walked on.

How would you transistion from date to boyfriend to living together to engagement to marriage? Works the same way; just because it's kinky doesn't mean it should work any different.

The OP assumes that 24/7/365 slavery means that you have to be a house-bound submissive. Thre cannot be any possibility that you have your own life, job and other things and still serve 24/7/365.
Fox is going t be mine 24/7 once he graduates school. He is finishing school becaue I expect him to have a ob, pay part of the household expenses... so on so forth. He will STILL be mine, 24/7. He already is mine 24/7 aside from the distance from here to campus.
Angel has a fantasy to give everything up and become a baby all the time. The fantasy is giving up all connections to the outside world. Do I think he wil ever actually do it... no. But its a good fantasy to play with when we do scenes.
In reality, he is going to be heading to the military, and while he will still be mine, he wont be a constant companion.
