I read your profile and thought it looked good. It had the kind of information that is of interest to me when when I am considering someone. If you were going to edit it a bit (and I am not saying I think it needs that - just if you want to trim it), you could possibly leave out the details of the auto maintenence you can do. But overall, a good profile.

From penis length threads to profile length threads, i'm beginning to think that us guys are way to obsessed about length.

Seriously, your profile is an expression or yourself; if you like it, keep it.  If it doesn't get you anywhere after 3 days, delete your account and start one as a dominant.

*darchChylde removes his sarcastic hat*

*falls out of my chair*.........so THAT's why I get Dominant males asking for sessions.....

Decided to read your profile.  It looked fine right up until you admitted that your submission was grounded in a woman's superficial appearance/fitness status.  When I see that on any man's profile I move on.  Nothing personal, I just don't share or conform to those particular values.

I can understand moving on if you don't share someone's interest, but a dedication to fitness isn't necessarily shallow or superficial, or even about appearance.  I am personally dedicated to my own health and fitness, and it would be very difficult for me to spend a lot of time in the company of someone whose habits weakened my committment rather than strengthening it.  I can eat egg whites and oats for breakfast and a steamed chicken breast with veggies and olive oil for lunch as long as my partner isn't eating a luscious gooey dripping cheesy meaty pizza with a side of yummy greasy french fries while I'm trying to be tightly disciplined with pre and post workout meals.  If he is....well, I'm not eating with him, because it's going to either derail me or make me utterly miserable.

Likewise with the exercise; I prefer a partner who supports my efforts and who can join me in fitness activities.  I currently don't have one, so I have to find workout buddies instead.  For some people, it really isn't all about looks so much as finding a partner who can support rather than potentially sabotage your own commitment to health and fitness.

Re: the profile?  Hells yeah.  It's nearly spot-on for what I personally like to see, though I'd prefer more emphasis on "real person" vanilla life and interests and much less on kink.   But people's preferences are going to vary depending on what they are looking for.  The only way to make sure that the people who are looking for someone like you can find you is to be yourself, no more and no less.

Hello everyone :)

I have had an amusing message exchange the past 2 days during which, among other things, I was informed that my profile (30 some lines, not exactly a novel) is way too long for a "real Lady" to read. (her words)

So the question that is really already answered by myself but still I'd like some input -

What is an appropriate profile?

I have had some help from another Dominant on this site who gave me a few pointers and changed some text and told more about my person than my sexual preference and preferred activity, yet this was exactly what  that woman wanted to know:

"write more about how you would serve your mistress".

Personally I find that a bit tasteless and it ranks right up there with posting detailed photos of the crotch.
Sex (or more widely: playing), even though important in any relationship, isn't the only thing that I gauge a potential Mistress on.
I also like to exchange a thought or two and I don't want to hold back on a debate about any  subject just because she's the Mistress and "Mistress in always right" <- this is out of scene...I'm talking about a debate like Firefox versus Internet Explorer..which is the best way to make a snowman...why do people do retarded things and so on.
Yet when I explained my point of view ("I disagree. I  prefer reading profiles that give a little hint about who the person is rather than a short profile that has 2 or 3 cryptic quotes") I was told I'm being argumentative.

To wrap it up...what do you prefer in a profile? Both from the length of the text and the content?

Do you prefer short profiles that get straight to the point?
Do you prefer longer profiles that give more insight?
Do you prefer profiles where preferred sexual acts are not just hinted but written in bold red letters
Do you prefer profiles with little to no reference to playing?

Sincerly,

Kentaro  (not japanese)

If they r too lazy to read your profile, in which you put much effort, better then the emptyonce on here, or the oneliners, it says all about them, and not you kentaro.

That's a good start to see if they r genuine
to have read all which is importent to you.
It gives a good impression to whom you're.

There are more then one chatrooms out there on CM, so widen your horizon, and who knows who you ran into

I wish you enough.

I checked out the profile before he deleted that line; it reminded me of my boy when he was that age. We've discussed how he got into the lifestyle & how he used to keep his eyes open for women who looked "strong". Women who stood up straight & tall & looked like fitness buffs were the only way he knew to find "strong, dominant" women in the vanilla world. He was, of course, making the common assumption of the outside matching the inside. He learned eventually to look for the inner strength instead of the outer & found me. He has worn my collar for 11 years & will, hopefully, wear it for the rest of his life.

I've never had any real complaints about my profile. It's longer than the usual, but I decided to just be upfront and reveal pretty much all there is to know about me. What really gets under my skin sometimes is when someone writes me out of the blue, who has obviously not even looked at the profile and says: "Tell me more about yourself." It's like reading Leviathan and then asking Hobbes if he can expand on his whole "state of nature" thing.

Mmmmm I took out auto maintenance in my profile and put in truck maintenance. Profiles are like busniess cards. The card grabs your attention and you put it in your wallet or the card sucks and you throw it away.
