had i the work shop and skill, i'd be with DV. my fantasy furnishing is a tad different. the post would have large round rings at the top, made in my Master's forge, so i'd have the oppertunity to hang light weight curtians to disguise the ring's real job. -just phoenix

As mentioned, I want the big throne with the removable padded seat for Queening.... for now, I just have a little one made of PVC.  (At least it's portable)

I also want what my friend Oderus calls a French Whipping Post... although, I haven't been able to find a pic of it... and I'm not sure he and I are actually thinking of the same thing.  What I want would be like a narrow saw horse about hip high with padded pannels on the rectangular sides.  I want a full triangle pannel on each end with eye bolts for attaching chains.  One rectangular side should lift up with a folding leg under it to hold it upright.

With the moving panel down, a sub could bend froward over it an lay across it with arms stretched toward the floor.  Wrist & ankle cuffs can be chained to the eye bolts or to eachother.   Or, with the collapsing side raised and braced like a table, the sub could lay on his/her back with ankles chained far apart, arms chained above the head.

Well, after seeing some gord devices in real life for the first time.  I would have to say something like his air-chair.  That thing kicks so much ass, you might go blind.

Hardbutt -> RE: What would you build? (3/31/2008 5:38:26 PM)

DiurnalVampire - that bed you described made me forget all about my idea! A friend built a really nice bed you would have liked, solid oak 6x6 posts with flat folding sprung tie rings for boats. It was for his brother! But your chains under cover, very nice.

My other thought after reading this thread is really disturbing. A few minutes ago I read news about a device installed in used cars for sub-prime borrowers. When you make a payment, you enter a code. When the payment is due, a light flashes to warn you, overdue then dead, the car is disabled until you pay up or repo drops by.

And then I saw the passing comment about a Robot Domme....

My friend and I are building a steel female chastity belt, with removable links in the back to make it adjustable to most females... well I guess as long as they are semi close to my build, lol.

It's kind of like the ones you see on InfernalRestraints ... hehehe ^_^

AlderTheKitty -> RE: What would you build? (3/31/2008 9:38:16 PM)

What one builds is dependant on ones available space

we may all want a full size saint andrews cross but few off us can store one of them year round little own have the space that needs to be deticated to one

i recently made a set of anchior chains that use panic snaps to use on my bed simple easy effective...(should be not having people to tie up or tie me up makes it hard to test things) look around differant fetish sitesand see what you can find you never know what might be of use to you

I was thinking... you know, I bet you could build one that had a hinge in the middle, so it closed up a bit smaller.... something to think about!

I'm having a bit of trouble with the application you have in mind for such a device.  I can see where a receiver such as that, that responds to wireless commands would be very useful in a lot of things, but I can't think of how one would use it in bdsm.

Maybe in the future, we will have WiFi or bluetooth padlocks to use on our gear.  And if you lose the key, you call in to BdsmStar (which is like OnStar...except not) and get them to issue an unlock code directly to the locks, for a nominal fee of course.  I know, that's crazy talk.

Hardbutt -> RE: What would you build? (4/1/2008 3:34:19 PM)

saradeanna469, Sorry that was not more clear... after describing the disabler box I wrote "And then I saw the passing comment about a Robot Domme...." as I pictured the unreasoning domming machine dutifully carrying out its instructions to tie tease and torment, then I saw Robodom equipped with an ATM card reader. Not pleasant. Robodom not happy. cha-ching.

Added: That's not crazy talk! That blue tooth idea might be good for a key safe or even cuffs. Release a key after a cam session or something. Many chastity users are looking for ways to give up their keys but have a safety out and someone to beg to by using the 'net. Ahh, and cars are getting blue tooth so it could be a safety feature that all shackles release in an accident.

Hardbutt -> RE: What would you build? (4/1/2008 4:14:25 PM)

Lynnxz,

Have you considered using several jewelry case locks to make a chastity belt adjustable? I have built two devices that lock with these, you should buy the good ones from a locksmith for $20 instead of the hardware store ones for $8. My Chicago brand lock has taken years of showers and even swimming in the ocean without problems, a few times in the ocean killed the cheap ones in a matter of months. The problem with these locks on a belt is that lumps show unless you position them just right. Not a problem if your belt is just for sessions.

One of the appealing things about a belt like this is watching a sub's face as it gets installed. The rapid ratcheting of the locks quickly snugged around a bound body, then the locks each thoughtfully tightened and the waistband carefully checked for gaps or pinching... fewer and fewer clicks and more time in between... as the wear feels each click closing off any further hope of slipping a finger underneath. Then some small transgression being responded to with another click, and another... mmmmmm.

DelilahDeb -> RE: What would you build? (4/1/2008 4:43:00 PM)

Actually, the first thing I'd make or acquire would be a massage type table with
1) pneumatic/electric controls for thoroughly adjustable height
2) capable of widening and narrowing without having to use leaves
3) up to 1,000 pounds gross weight tested, with a safety factor of at least 3x.
4) optionally suspendable, with fold-up or other disappearing supports
5) movable...castors or perhaps a sort of built-in hand-truck (upscale the stew's rolling luggage)

But right behind that comes a dreamed-of design for a portable framed spider web rig, to which simple cuff and other restraints can be clipped or tied. I figure about 8 feet square for the frame, cable tensioned with a turnbuckle for the basic rig, and then a seriously Teneriffe-type lace web of 6mm or 8mm well-conditinoed hemp rope...

I want a ST Andres Cross made in the shape of two daggers .. metal blades with handles that can be "jeweled" and rings to tie to ..... ..... the cold metal to tie against and the visual impact given my love of knife play would be incredible...

bipolarber -> RE: What would you build? (4/1/2008 6:00:33 PM)

Well, actually, I DO have that sort of shop. But, I don't really have a huge house for such things. So I pretty much just build things for friends. I have made several multi-function units... a coffee table that changes into spanking bench, a foldable set of spreader bars that fit neatly under a mattress, a chair that has a seat in it that can be swapped out for either a dildo or an open seat for queening.

My big dream is to perfect a "sado flex" a sort of multi function peice of furniture based on the same idea as the excersize equipment that folds up for easy storage. I've managed to make a couple of prototypes, but so far none of them are quite as versitile as I'd like them to be.

This is my favorite thread... I love creative people! :D  And creative kinky people.. o gawd.

Anyway as far as the chastity belt we are making, it's just for a photoshoot, there's no way it's going to be easily hidden under clothing. It looks very raw, but it's supposed to fit in with the "Steel Mill" theme we have going on... I'm really excited... Do you suppose CM will allow pics of me suspended over a huge sawblade... or does that fall under the "No weapons please" rule. :-/

Anyways, the belt is going to match the collar I am holding in one of my profile pix... *squee* First welding project!!

MissHarlet, I love your idea for the cross. [&:]
You could make that the centerpoint of any major dungeon.. it could be really beautiful. ^_^

MissHarlet -> RE: What would you build? (4/1/2008 8:49:07 PM)

Thank you .. I think it would be incredibly beautiful .... and intimidating too <EG>

Taboo4Two -> RE: What would you build? (4/2/2008 7:27:43 AM)

A St Catherine's wheel that doubled as a table. It would incorporate a tilting mechanism that would let you adjust it to any angle from upright (vertical) to lying flat (horizontal). Add a low speed gear motor to rotate it and a hydraulic height adjustment and I'd be in dungeon equipment heaven.

TheGorenSociety -> RE: What would you build? (4/2/2008 7:44:58 AM)

Simple just have the base come out in front of the pivot point where the weight is going to be.  Imagine it like a engine hoist  with extend able legs.  I remember making one like this many years ago. I used real hoist parts it was quite portable heavy though but worth it

TheGorenSociety -> RE: What would you build? (4/2/2008 8:05:52 AM)

So far all of what I have seen on this thread is actually easily dooable if you have the money.I have the shop and by next month will have a new home built casting and forge capability hopefully, if I can get the rest of the parts I need

Floatmaster -> RE: What would you build? (4/2/2008 5:12:15 PM)

penalty box  so much fun to build sooooo much fun to play with

Lol... that's where I fail... riiiight there....

Now, ifI got a "commission" to build something for a local dungeon... that could be excellent
