Random thought:

i constantly hear about "laundry lists"- as in "I'm tired of being contacted by submissives with their laundry lists of fetishes".

But it makes no sense to me. i've been doing laundry for 14 years now, and not only have i never made a list, but i can't even see where one would add any utility whatsoever.

So who is doing this? And what is ON your list?

Trade ya! Your cats for my kids... trust me, toddlers "helping" with laundry doesn't help one bit!

And no, i don't make a list to DO my laundry, but i do have a cleaning schedule listed on the fridge for what day i do what things, and laundry is one of them. Does that count?

I only use a grocery list.. I'm pretty sure the phrase 'laundry list' means nothing more than a detailed list of 'whatever' one is listing and nothing to do with laundry anymore.

Next, towels. These are usually done washing around the same time as the jeans are dry so, the jeans get taken out and hung and towels go into the dryer at the same time kick around darks go into the washer. That will include grunge clothes, dark socks and underwear, sweats and things of that nature. Since not that many dark socks are worn by Himself unless he's been on business, that's usually going to mean tube socks and a medium load. This is also the load that, generally, takes the longest to fold so goes right after the load that is always quickest to fold.

Cats make very bad maids, they do not help fold, but they do send the basket flying if you turn your back. Then all of the nice warm clean laundry must be rewashed. First thing on my list for laundry, lock cats from bedroom before setting down warm basket of clothes.

Hmm, so what is the origin of Laundry List?

"Laundry list" in this case has nothing to do with laundry, it has to do with arriving at a first meeting with a dom with a long list of things the subbie/slave won't do, wants from a dom etc. In answer to that, no i don't, that's what negotiation before play is for.

It's not a matter of needing a new washing machine, it's a matter of bladder control. Lots of sneezing means lots of leaking which in turn, means more jeans to wash, increasing the size of the load which increases the length of time that load needs to dry.

I'd have less laundry to do if I just wore Depends.

i tried to make a list do my laundry, but it sat there and did nothing, and the laundry got deeper, so i had to do it myself.
