ORIGINAL: petdave So who is doing this? And what is ON your list? Colorsafe bleach, bleach for whites, fabric softner for Himself, fabric softner for me, allergen free laundry soap, starch, iron & ironing board w/cover, a sponge (to wipe the inside of the washer out), a broom (to sweep around the dryer), lightbulbs (so I'm not trying to do laundry in the dark), laundry baskets, a throw rug (so I don't have to stand on the bare cement), boom box and CD's (so I have something to listen to while I fold or iron), tennis balls (to distract the dog while I'm folding clothes or ironing.) ::peers at list:: Okay, that's the 'stuff'.. then, of course, comes the order it's all done in. Jeans which require 1.5 - 2 drys to get done throughly (depending on whether or not I sneezed a lot during the week) go in first. Next, is work shirts for Himself along with my dressier blouses which can actually go into the washer. These all get hung to dry so go in right after the jeans. Next, towels. These are usually done washing around the same time as the jeans are dry so, the jeans get taken out and hung and towels go into the dryer at the same time kick around darks go into the washer. That will include grunge clothes, dark socks and underwear, sweats and things of that nature. Since not that many dark socks are worn by Himself unless he's been on business, that's usually going to mean tube socks and a medium load. This is also the load that, generally, takes the longest to fold so goes right after the load that is always quickest to fold. ::stops and peeks up from list:: You sure you want to know what's on the list? ::chuckles:: Celeste
