Safe sex and STD's aside, you might also consider taking a shower immediately afterward, using an anti bactirial soap, and keep a little Purell in your overnight/playbag. Some viruses, like the one that causes the flu, can remain on your skin, and infiltrate your body when you pick your nose, eat, or even scratch your ear. "Points of entry" are any places where you might put your hands, that have soft tissue. Of course, the single best way to avoid all of this, both safer sex and viral exposure, is to have your scene online, on the phone, or with your partner across the room, directing you. If you don't want to get THAT impersonal, then I'd suggest simply not getting intimate until you've met someone you trust, and have had traded medical reports with them.
