       I'm not inclined to believe this one, but the rumor is certainly spreading fast. It showed up in my inbox from three different sources today.

      Various reports are compiled on Snopes, here. Short version is that the Mexican/Central American gang, ms-13 is conducting an initiation where the wanna-be's have to bump another car from behind, and then shoot whoever gets out. Some police departments are taking it seriously, others dismissing it.

      Has this one come to you yet? What did you think?

Buffalo got hit hard with that one.

The Police Commissioner bought into the hoax and had a press conference over all the local channels.

That story has been going around for over 20 years.

But sometimes life imitates art, so maybe it is real now, but I kind of doubt it. It has the gang taking a serious chance for no profit.

I remember this from when I was 8!!

Except it had to do with headlights.

It is bullshit. Delete and move on.

i recall this too. Everyone was afraid to continue the practice of flashing oncoming traffic to warn them of an accident, deer on the road, etc.

OKAY Gang Hoaxes.

So Far there is the

Headlight Hoax - Flashing your headlights gets you killed
Fender Bender Hoax - Checking to see for damage gets you killed
Drive Thru Hold up Hoax - Honking at the car who isn't driving up to the next window gets you killed
2-Pac Playing Hoax - If you play any 2-pac Record in your car in Watts you get killed
13 on the Plates Hoax - If you have a 13 on your plates and are seen by a gang member you get killed.

COME ON PEOPLE Stop believing this crap all you do is let the CRIMINALS win when you live in fear. GO GET A CCW (Consealed Weapons Permit) and LEVEL the playing field. If you can shoot back I bet they'll think twice about it.

         I hadn't heard the ones about 1-pac, or the 13 on the license plate, but I remembered the 'flashing brights' as soon as I opened this one the first time.

      Those who forward this one most energetically, at least with me on the receiving end, live out in places where there really aren't any serious gang-bangers.

     (Of course, the amateurs can be even more dangerous.)
