Yes, it is not an internet thing, men were doing it well before the internet, as those who remember back that far can attest.
It is not a pro-domme thing either, anyone actually expecting strangers to commit to a meet will get the same.
Though the proportion goes up sharply the more you expect them to pay in money or effort too.
The simple truth is that they are sad or craven little wankers (though they may be 6 ft tall and 200 lb).
They bring themselves off with thoughts of what 'might' happen if they actually were to follow through.
Once they've got themselves off, they lose interest. It's a man thing ... It is as simple and mundane as that.
