this slave has seen a bit of controvesy over the use of "sister", so she wouldn't suggest it right out the gate. personally, this slave follows the protocol that Master has instructed her to use. it differs with regards to the situation, vanilla or flavored. what tends to confuse this slave is the "scene names" people come up with versus their real names. it is usually a good idea to ask which they prefer as you get to know them better or if you happen to know both.

I totally safeword at "Sister" or "Sis". Blech.

Now there are some women who I'm very close to in the scene, who I might use the term with (but not often, and totally randomly/sponteaneously) but if someone who I just met referred to me as Sister, I would let them know that I don't participate in using that particular term.

Dale Carnegie's book "How to Win Friends and Influence People," has an entire section on the importance of using people's names, and how it influences them to like you based on the fact that you remember their name. "Sister" means nothing to me. If I met you 6 months ago, and I see you again and you say "Lily, how nice to see you," it makes me feel good, like I made a good first impression, and that I'm somehow important.

Dom, sub, or inbetween; everyone likes to feel important.
