Doing this round as a way to include some I missed. Thanks to all that suggested some of these tunes, and thanks for participating.

Again, this isn't done with the strictest of standards. Enjoy it for what it is, or don't.

I don't know that it was the best song on the list (I really like Black Velvet too), but that song has good associations for me.

I voted for merideth Brooks because well, I'm a Bitch!
I didnt vote for Joan Osborne because I respect her too much. her Album Relish which had the hit what if God was one of us. Well all the songs were awesome. Buy it try it shes awesome. She in the last couple of years put out a new CD. (The name escapes me)that is all remakes of great R and B covers. Songs like, These arms of mine,Loves in Need,Great 60's and 70's hits that I love and her versions great.

Joan Osborn deserves more than this list so please take my advice and buy her music, you will be a fan too in MHO.

edited to say: The Pussycat Dolls should be on this list. It may be too soon to call them 1 hit wonders but they have milked that song for all its worth. But we all do know that they all wish they're girlfreind was a freak like me!
