Camille, I think you will find that filing a complaint with the bar will be futile and a waste of energy and your time. It seems you have no evidence of an illegal or unethical act having been comitted. And, I have to say, I'm a little surprised at your apparent naivete about unethical lawyers. You can't swing a cat without scratching one. Finally, even though you are upset and disappointed in your ex and his lawyer, in the end you, apparently ,did the best you could do in the situation. We can never control the decisions and actions others take. I hope that you can take some comfort in that. P.S. This is nasty and I don't think you want to go there but, if your ex was bailed out with a bondsman's help, the bondsman certainly has an interest in your ex's "plan" and in his future whereabouts. Skipping a court appearance is never prudent. Especially in a case where the worst result would be 90 days with time off for time served . Most likely, he would serve substantially less time due to overcrowded conditions. If he chooses to skip he will be a fugitive with a warrant out for him. He will, sooner or later, be caught ( traffic stop, for example). The law has time on it's side, he will never be at peace or rest. Your ex sounds like a pussy. How did you come to be involved with such a guy ?
