chickpea -> How long is the longest have you tied a slave or been tied? (3/31/2008 11:44:51 PM)

I'm wondering if anyone has ever been tied up for more than a month?  And is that even possible?!

I'd suggest you look up the care of patients who are in a vegetative coma. It will give you some idea of why people can't be kept tied and still for long periods of time.

This seems to me as something that should have gone into the regular section somewhere and not the casual banter one.
Even if it isn't a reasonable question.
Miss Magnolia is correct, you cannot tie someone up like that for that long, not safely.
Even someone with MS or CP has to have help daily (often multiple times a day) moving their limbs to try and keep them as flexible as possible. And it's always a losing battle, still we do what we can.
A month, wouldn't do it for long at all really, and I'd be making sure that the one I was tying up had good circulation the whole time if it was going to be extended. I get no sleep or rest until my charge is released, and proven to be safe. Let's not even get into the danger of blood clots from long term immobilization. Wreakless.

Hrmm, that's true.  I guess maybe a couple of weeks would be the longest to be bound.  And then maybe it's safer to do it with a body bag?

I believe a body bag would be more along the lines of a "Sleep bag" which a different thing all together. Weeks? You really need to look into the health and safety side of this before you get yourself in trouble.

You could be mobile if you were wearing long chains connecting the wrists and ankles. Obviously you wouldn't go outside like that, but you would be able to move around the house although I wouldn't recommend steps. You would have to dry carefully though if you didn't want to start to rust.

But I can't imagine The Man wanting me unable to go downstairs to do laundry or him having to do all the errands, especially with the way he loooves grocery stores (in and out in two minutes with less than half the stuff needed!).

If it's just the emotional feelings you're looking for, you can wear leather wrist and ankle cuffs constantly except for showering. That allows you to feel tied but you can still cook, clean and run around.

Ok, need to get some clarity here. To me "tied up" means exactly that, tied and bound. Mobility possible depending on how it is done, but not necessarilly.

So, OP what did you mean originally by your use of "tied up"?
