A friend asked me this question about a year ago and to be honest i still haven't decided..
others out there might find this easy to answer.. Maybe i'm just terrible at choosing.. So..

Whats your favourite kind of pain?

pain just before and during sex is always my favorite.

But I understand your indecision.  I love the warmth and intimacy of his hand across my back side.  I love his rubber loop strap for it's coverage and thuddy feel.  I love the whip as it feels almost as it's stripping the emotion from me, and he tends to prefer to use it as I'm strung up which has a very exposed feeling attached to it.

I love nipple torture anytime-- my nipples are the area of my body that always screams for attention.

Yeah, what my favorite is depends on my mood too.

The short answer is any kind of pain Master decides to gives me…

Yeah, I am part of the wacky wafer club.

Some pain is more pleasurable then others but it isn’t the pain I like, want or crave. It is the feeling I get because I am able to take what he wants to gives me.

Although I don't have a Master (just a play partner), I would say the same as everyone else has so far - the kind that's inflicted during play. Any other - like my arthritis or an accidental cut or bruise - not fun at all.

If I had to choose (which, please, never make me do it again), I'd have to say the pain from the horsehair flogger. It combines the thuddy pain of the leather floggers with the sting of a hundred or so tiny whips. And the special swishing sound it makes as it goes through the air is almost like music. When it's used on my upper back it's almost like a massage - great after a day sitting at the computer.

It may sound silly, but pain followed by a caress.  I recently was punished with a crop for the first time.  It left welts, and I didn't enjoy the pain, but I did enjoy that after every two strikes with it the area was rubbed gently.  I could easily take at least twice as many strikes as long as I knew that they would not be constant but that I would have the gentle touch in between.

Pain is one thing... pain inflicted by someone who knows... and loves... what they are doing, is delicious, and addicting.

I suppose I could order them...
1)Single tails/Dragontails
2) Caning
3)Floggers/Cats

... crap.. this is harder than I thought...
I suppose it's less about the pain, than it is about the person giving it to me

Thud, not sting. I keep telling him this and for some reason he still prefers sting. I think because I react so much more strongly to sting and he finds that fun. Glad one of us does. Goes off muttering about the heavy wood hairbrush I bought him which goes unused and instead he just used more nasty wooden spoons.

I was struggling with a how to phrase what I wanted to say about pain ... and then beth went and said it perfectly

This says it all for me.[:)]    No matter what my Master does to me, it is always excruciatingly sensual.  All other pain is just plain hurtful and isn't pleasurable, in any way.

I don't like pain, but I do like just about anything he makes me do that I don't want to do.  So sometimes pain falls under that category.

I'll join the others who said the kind Master inflicts.

Absent that, I hate pain!  He can welt me all he wants, but if I stub my toe, neighboring cities will hear my screaming.

Well though I agree with everyone about "Anything Master inflicts", I DO have my preference. I like thuddy pain (heavy floggers), sharp pain (think knife play), burning pain (otk spankings) and quick pain (hair pulling, tweaked nipples....)

well yes.. for me no pain is good pain in or of itself... but its from Him and it pleases Him for me to be in pain which is what I meant by whatever "Master gives me"

that said ... if the cattle prod got "lost in the move" ... I couldn't pretend to be heart broken about it... to say nothing of His portable nail gun
