Aneirin -> If it was'nt for the war? (4/3/2008 10:00:02 PM)

I am a Briton, there are those of my country fighting and risking their lives on foreign shores, as is there with others. the US and other countries.

Weapons cost so much, my last update, a bullet for a rifle costing in Britain £0.60 to make, a charge to the tax payer for each bullet sent.

So, we can assume all the bullets fired can be a hefty amount, but what of other weaponry in their use?

Now here and in the US we hear, an economy  struggling to survive, the question begs, would it be better if not for the war?

Imperialism Aneirin, imperialism.

You don't think either government gives a fuck about the likes of us do you? We're not fighting for our freedom but the freedom of capitalists to make money.

I think it was Sartre that said “When the rich make war it's the poor that die” he could easily have said, 'War makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.' (I'm sure that must be a quote from someone but I can't think who.)

What do you think has been keeping the phony economy going, besides the mortgage scam since the tech bubble burst?
