depending on who the game system is for , if its for a kid , a teen an adult a tweener .If it s for an adult i would say PSP for sure.Just one look at the type of games best suit you and one trip to a best buy and compare should have your answer .

I got a DS lite for christmas and I love it, I like the smaller size, I also like the games for it, I like to play the mario games, tetris, puzzzle/mahjong suduko etc, (the simple things in life, oh yeah).I never really got past the SNES altho my kids did....one likes the Wii, one likes the Xbox, we pretty much skimmed Sony. Apparently PSP has 350 games and DS only has 150, I only play about ten but it fits my needs, and it fits in my purse, and I play it in the docs office, on the plane, where ever I have to wait for half an hour or more. I know with a card, I can get sound and video on it and surf the web with the browser and the wifi thingie, but havent gone into it yet. Beyond that, I dont have a clue, I havent looked into the PSP i have to admit, whatever you decide on, have fun, they are darned addictive. Lucy

The DS light is more for gaming The PSP can do other things for you, such as movies , mail, music

kids like anything their friends have or their friend tell them to get...not until about age 16 do they make their own decisions in this kind of thing LOL. mommy mommy i want that....pweaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeee...ill be good...

DS Lite can also play Game Boy Advance games, but they only use the bottom screen

PSP has more of the games that I'm a fan of -- Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, Tekken: Dark Resurrection.... and now that new God of War: Chains of Oblivion thing? MEEEEOW! I've never been a big fan of anything Nintendo-side. Even as a kid I thought Super Mario Brothers was kind of "meh" and preferred Sonic the Hedgehog by a huge margin. Now they've got Super Smash Bros. which is kind of cool as a party game, but aside from that... meh, just meh. Don't know if the DS can play UMD movies, either. The PSP can and it's a godsend on long trips or whenever you're stuck waiting for a delayed airplane, long line at the DMV, etc.
