Good morning, All:

Listening to the radio this morning, they had given the results of a recent survey taken by ????? Company in Fairfax, VA that asked men/women if they could find a cure for Cancer or Global Warming which would they chose.  Interestingly enough, 46% of men voted for GW.
i was interested in hearing what CM readers would vote for.

Cancer, only because it is going to kill us faster than global warming.

Strange kind of survey. The idea that one is more important than the other is a falsehood.

Skin cancer increase due to lack of ozone.

Not to mention the large increase in caseinogens in the atmosphere and water table. You look after your environment and it looks after you as we have evolved to thrive in the current environment rather than one alien to us that we cause.

If I have cancer, it isn't a falsehood to me.

Well then the survey should be entitled ‘Do you have cancer or would you rather stop global warming than find a cure for cancer’. Your priorities will be different if you have cancer or know someone that has had it. It though doesn’t change the overall picture that in the long run we’re in trouble as a species.

We are the yeast and our environment is saturated with the alcohol that we produce as waste. We all know what happens to the yeast as it swims in its own waste and yet we refuse to recognise the same is happening to us on a bigger scale.

Cancer has already been reduced greatly and ways to help cure it are improving all the time. Why bother choosing? You can fund both.

I lost my father to an agressive cancer that killed him three days after his birthday in 2005. It took six months.

As for the global temperature dropping over the last decade, prove it. All indications are that it's still increasing overall.
