I think they are just too busy going crazy over all the other 200 rituals they have to watch for/enforce/reward or punish/plan next scene/make sure no dork steps in the line of fire/give loving supportive care after every rough step/keep authority/inspire submission/keep you wet constantly/have awesome nightly sex while being a super adult in general without breaking down.

Yeah it's kinda hard sometimes to see why making sure all the forks are set in the right place becomes the important issue of the day.
