hello, can anyone tell if what to use as ankle collar or cuff? i wear work boots everyday and would like to have something that wouldn't iritate my ankle while my boots are laced. something to remember my Mistress while i'm off to work.

Rather than an ankle collar or cuff, how about a chain necklace with a pendant that has meaning to the both of you but wouldn't have anyone not in the know give it a second thought? I've tried wearing an ankle chain and it drives me nuts in my winter boots.

i could not wear an ankle collar it would make me feel like i was under house arrest , and the adornment would go off any second with the cops roaring in .
Does it have to be an ankle ? why not a ring ?pendant ?braclet of some kind ?if it has to be hidden for some reason maybe nipple rings ? a small tattoo if the commitment is strong enough .

In the leather community we use a harness or chain strapped around the outside the boot.

You might want to consider a think Ladies ankle bracelet, and wear it on the outside of your sock. It is less likely to irritate your nankle if it is not rubbing against it constantly, but it will still be there, and the extra care you have to take when getting dressed would be a nice reminder of your status.

I would suspect it would cause pressure point issues unless you using a vey fine dainty type of chain, I know even a boot lace ending up caught inside my work boots can become irritating after a while

I once had a submissive that I gave a pet collar to, and when she would wear it on her leg just above the calf. It would remind her constantly and she would always being wearing my collar wether it was on her neck, above her calf, or sometimes she would wear it up on her thigh. The collar was adjustable, so she could keep it as tight or loose as she wanted for comfort. I hope this gives you an idea.

i like it. Great idea! Have to file that one into the dust collecting file cabinet for later reference.

For this question, stay away from chains or thick leather stuff, because once you lace up your boot, the pressure will wear on your ankle. Go to a fabric store, and snatch up some nice soft fabric and make a little cuff out of it, or if you can find some, you can use the type of leather that clothes are made out of. It's light, flexible, and very thin. While you're at the fabric store (or i guess craft store) grab some of those tiny little snaps used to make doll clothing, or even some velcro instead if you want. They're both small and thin enough i wouldn't think they'd cause the same pressure as a buckle or clasp. And the boot will keep it on your ankle.
