I work in tier three technical support, so I get lots and lots of strange and odd computer questions. Customer called in the other day and asked me, " I was told this by my pc shop and I want to know if its true" I told her please ask anything "the tech at the shop tells me that this isn't his fault that, he fixed my computer but that your Modem has a Virus"
To which I broke out in laughter.
I assured her that it was totally impossible for the modem to have a virus and that she should immediately change pc shops.
I told my lead tech and supervisor about this call and both of them broke out in laughter.
I am so worried that there are people taking money from senior citizens and the ignorant and telling them absolute crap like that!
