I didn't know exactly where to post this so I figured this to be the most likely spot. I think it would be nice if there was some way of looking at the list of profiles on collarme and be able to tell without opening them if the person was collared or not...

Nothing elaborate, maybe just a small symbol or something. Is that asking too much? What do you all think about the idea?

Hmmmm.. I think I like that idea..
But then there are some that are with someone, like me being with Sir and Mistress, that are not collared. I am not collared although before I play with someone else I must talk to them about it... or atleast let them know of my intentions.

I think it wouldn't really change anything. Profiles change, situations change. Collared people still get emails all the time from prospectors.

I've nothing against the idea, I just don't think it would really make a big difference either way.

Yeah, I think it's asking too much.

First of all, it assumes that the only reason someone would want to look at my profile is to get in my pants. I find that dismaying.

Secondly, what do you do with those who are not collared, but are unavailable.

If you are this unwilling to actually open a profile to actually see if the person is compatible, it sounds like you are just looking for 'instant sub'. Good luck with that....

I have LONG felt that Collarme was remiss in not including a bit of "basic" information - if someone was married/single/somewhere in between, let alone if they are collared or not.

I am new here, so please excuse my naivate' but, to follow your original post, I don't understand why there is nothing on a person's profile to indicate if they are MARRIED or not!!!!! I realize many could and would lie about it, but I think it's a cop out for someone to say that the profile didn't ask, so they didn't answer. That's BS and very misleading. Any thoughts on this? Oh, and sorry if I am waylaying your original post!

I have found that most people write in their profile whether or not they are involved, married, whatever. That, IS after all, the point of having the opportunity to write something about yourself.

Most people consistently complain of unwanted emails from people who can't be bothered to read a profile and learn this basic information. I guess the next step is to promote such laziness.

That's what your profile text is for.

Another good point! And to clarify Myself to some others who previously responded:

I mean to say... as you are looking at the LIST of all the people on the site from say....alaska.... wouldnt it be nice it also indicated someones relationship status?
Collared, not seeking, seeking

and as tnt4us said married, divorced, separated or single??

I do think it would make a difference to those of us looking. I never bother to email someone who is collared or taken. Couldn't I find that out about them before wasting the time it takes to open their profile?

Yes I understand that is the way we do it now... but wouldnt knowing BEFORE having to open their profile be better? I mean, heck, if we are looking for someone, those who are already taken are of no intrest are they?

If the sole purpose of Collarme was for matchmaking, perhaps that would be "better."

Think of it this way, we choose to reward people who aren't lazy

While I understand we have the availability of the journals to indicate recent activity, what I would like to see along with the "joined" and "last online" date is that might indicate the last time a profile was "updated" (exclusive of the journal of course).

I realize that no one is obligated or might even need to update their profile (I myself never have), but sometimes people will write and if you ask them about something their profile they respond "oh I keep meaning to update that it is no longer valid, etc." In those instances it might be helpful to look at the profile and be able to say "really? funny since you just updated your profile last week".

Just a thought
