What would you consider appropriate membership fees for a Dom v/s a sub for a loal private bdsm dungeon club?

I'd think the price would be the same for Dom/me or sub, but that's just me.

Some clubs also have a "couples" discount, but in my experience the actual price you're going to pay differs based on equipment provided, environment, and the whims of the club owners.

The price should be the same, methinks. Making a different price for different orientations only ensures that a lot of people will lie about their orientations in order to get in. That is, unless somebody invents Lifestyle IDs...

I've never been to a club before, are there differing prices for Subs and doms?

Usually, fee variations are are along gender lines; i've never heard about variations based on orientation.

The one I go to charges the same for male and female for the yearly membership. However, differerent groups that rent out the club usually charge more for males than females. I think they are trying to cut down on the sweaty breathie types that just watch from the corners and creep people the fuck out. I've seen up to 50 for a single guy before.

I have seen higher fee's for males VS Females but not top vs bottom .I also think the fee should reflect the club itself , and also offer anual membership fees with discounted rates for special events for those members . Lynn , wow i can relate to the whole creep factor some clubs have and some /most do not last thankfully .I have been in some clubs where your shoes stick to the floor like a dollar movie theater ,and no those are not ju-ju candy pieces .

I think it should all be the same, although as a woman, I'm usually the one that gets a break.

I think a discount for couples is good as well as families -- not everyone is a couple. We have a family membership at one place with someone who used to be a part of our family... it worked out well for all of us.

hahahhahaha ewwwwww >.< The one around here isn't sticky, thank God, that would bother the hell out of me. They also tend to pick out the creepers and ask them to leave once it becomes obvious that they are making people uncomfortable.

I can't say I disagree with charging the girls less though. It's like any night club, they want to encourage females to come.

Isn't that the truth! Anytime we go to the club, or attend most activities, there's a single rate, there's a couple rate, but there is *never* a poly/family rate. We usually pay the couple rate for My husband and Myself, and then an additional, higher rate for My sub, who is considered a single male by price rates.

Most clubs I've been to do indeed charge better rates for women and for couples (you didn't have to be an actual couple - just come together), and more for the single males. Considering the creepiness factor that some single males can exude, it may not be a bad idea.

Our club, Abode, has a really complicated pricing structure.

Gold membership ($300 - $600 per year depending on years of membership I think) entitled you to free entry for yourself and a guest (of any gender/orientation), immediate entrance at the door and access to the private dungeon upstairs (which is where the really naughty things happen)

Purple membership ($100 - $200 per year I think) entitles you to discounted entry by yourself of $20, guaranteed entrance (although you have to wait ages in the queue) and access to the dungeons upstairs.

No membership cards means it costs about $30 each to attend each event, you wait in the queue, no access upstairs and if the venue gets full, it becomes "members only" so you have to turn around and go home again in your fetishwear!

Aussie dollar is about the same as the US at the moment to give you some idea what the prices are.

There is no difference in pricing for gender or orientation. But a club with lots of lonesome sub males and no "playful" Dominant women pretty quickly fails IME.

Therefore most clubs organise talented, attractive femdoms - and maybe a Dom or two as well - as hosts willing to meet, greet and play in public with strangers. As these services are worth $200 - $300 per hour, it is usual to waive the entrance fee and provide the volunteers some free drinks. Some clubs also share a proportion of the takings at the door or bar with the "hosts".

You might also give free entrance to Dominants and their subs in return for their agreement to put on a public demo of something special.

Someone has to get the ball rolling and its always great to have interesting "demos" by people brave/confident/stupid enough to show their stuff in public (and put up with the inevitable snarky criticism by all the instant armchair experts in the audience!).

These people should not have to pay IMO, but practices vary

Alright..so who will have the nerve to start a Wal-Mart based BDSM Club.Doscounts all over the place..you can evev start a slew of them..Let's call them Stocks and Bonds...where the prices are cheap but the atmosphere is breathtaking .....in more ways than one!!

MoGa> trust me i was being kind in the description of some clubs and they are both current and former in the status of operation .
One club i went to i felt outta place cuz i was not nude with false pockets in a trench coat playing the circle jerk round robin flog the bishop games .There are some amazing , great clubs out there , there are also and have been in the past too , some clubs where3-5 mins is just enough time to discover that it shall be a one trip short visit too .I am not wanting to join the whack ,creep fest some places had or have .Kudos to Paddles ,The Wet Spot ,Desades ,citadel .I can not wait to see all Colorado has to offer , i have heard nothing but great things .
The day we have a walmart type discount bdsm place is the day i burn everything i have and commit myself to the nut house ,merely placing that stores name out there made me throw up in my mouth a wee bit

I also agree that if the Domme's and women in general are not there , no point in attending for me too .I can not imagine 40 males and 2 females and how very uncomfortable that must be for the Women

I have seen that lopsided ratio., and the few Females Domme or other often do not attend alone anyway .

We do have some great membership org's though .
I think i enjoy the Con's ,leather ,Bdsm events ,conferences,gatherings of the perverted more so now over the roll of the dice of a "club ", Unless plans are made . Do i still attend clubs ?Sure yet i do not wish to revisit the bad ones

Only the good ones , that are ,safe , clean , with great energy , and F U N .
